Kind of good news on my part here guys! Went back to canada with the husband today, got a 6 month visitor record, details on how to extend it and the guy told me once i get a letter saying its provisionally approved i can get a work permit i didn't know about. Whilst he was doing that he checked the status for me (he couldn't get much more than what i knew already sinc ei can't log into E-cas yet) but he did tell me its in process in london (after waiting for my psych stuff to get back to them) so yay! Overall very good experiance with the immigration people - terrible with the airport, they lost my cat in gatwick (and no we haven't found her)

That's great news that you were able to come in to Canada and stay with your hubby while you wait for your PR. My husband is in the same boat except coming from the US.
What documents did you have to show the immigration folks and did you have to provide some kind of "proof" that you are returning to the UK? What did you tell them?

I've heard they can deny you entry if don't have something to go back to in your home country.
We want to try and do this with my husband as we plan on moving back to Canada before he gets his PR.

Sorry to hear about your cat! That's terrible, I hope they find her!!!

Hey Dralon, today I checked out, the ecas, and finally it's working for me, it says decision made, and also that they send me the letter on april 22th, so now I have to wait, if was approved or not.
You should try to see your file on ecas, maybe is working for you now.

Hey Arcuva that is GREAT news! You finally got it!
We are just 1 1/2 weeks behind you and are also going to Quebec, same as Dralon. Let's keep each other posted!

Thank you cam 80, I hope your file will be able to see on ecas very soon. And I hope Dralon is able to use ecas now, because, both of us, have the same date of the file reception. We'll be in touch if there are any news.

Hey comp my wife sent all her paperwork to me in dec last year it got lost in customs mississauga too for months she redid the app sent it again and it came.I submitted it it went to sao paulo when it got there the other envelope she sent the first time showed up.The problem i have was the first envelope that got lost had the medicals in it so i nowhave the medcicals but the package is already sent to Sao Paulo so i emailed them to see where i am to send them.Mississauga or Sao Paulo.
And apparently when i talked to customs in Mississauga they said i it is an envelope they wont even pull it out of cue it is Canada Post that is not doing the job of coming to customs to get the envelope.Whatr a mess it was 2 months before it finally showed.

Oh your app was stuck in Mississauga customs for how long? did it ever arrive after you submitted another application?
I think on tuesday I will have to resend another one. Still just says to be looked at by customs. Canada post still says due to the international post law bla bla bla they can not do "anything" even though it was one of their employees that scanned the package. I can not wrap my head around the fact that when it is in their possession they can still blame another country for their screw ups. Figures... anything to pass the buck right?

Compit was in customs mississauga for over two months after th first one we did it all again and sent it by fed ex to me then i submitted it.After i submitted it and it was recieved by immigration the other one showed up i was s upset.But they said the same thing customs blamed post and post blamed customs it was a mess.i will never trust anyone from the post again just fed ex.
Now were just waiting i sent an email to Sao Paulo asking if they needed the original medicals as they were held up in that custom crap.Still no answer fro Sao Paulo hopefully monday so i know to either send it t them or not.
Also my wife has a son 4 years old im sponsoring him to as her dependant,he has never met his father and his father has never asked the boy is now four.So we had to get his father to sign over his rights and then also get him to sign a travel authorization for the boy and not sure if immigration will want that o if thats just for the border customs when she lands with him in Toronto.

Heya, we took obvious bits like any communications we had from CIC, reciepts, proof that i had funds, proof of a place to stay in england just in case etc, but all the officer looked at was my passport, marriage cert and CIC letters! He asked a few questions to make sure i was who i said i was like height (which i didnt actually know but got it close so he gave me the benifit of the doubt )
It was all fairly painless actually, i was impressed!

Thank you and i am very happy for you too, let me know when your wife get the letter, i will do the same. Today i will start looking to make sure everything for MICC will be ready and that i will only have to pay the fees and photocopy the letter they send me.

Mississauga told us it was to be included in the app.,but as you know i didnt because they were in that customs crap.
So i was wondering my wife did get themedicals done and they are good for a year so they are still good till November 2010 can i use these or should we get new ones when they request because they only do them in reciefe which all total taxi meds 1200 reals.

Yeah i got that letter also, but we did the medicals as thats what it said in the package/application. So they should have them already (they better have them haha)
Well today I will be re-sending to MICC the application for the CSQ. Canada Post site still says to be reviewed by customs and thats has been like that since April 9th. This time I will send via DHL like I did with my original app to Mississauga. It arrived in 3 days with no problems.
