Well i'm happy to report that some progress has been made. My husband was overseas in the Military for many years, and it seems like his son and his mother have bounced around to many different states. We have found that his son is currently in Virginia. My hubby is leaving here (Canada) on Saturday to go to VA and attempt to find his specific location.

Even though the delay is a set-back, we are hopeful that good will come of it. Hopefully he will find his son, and be able to re-establish a relationship with him. Even though we haven't been able to find their exact location (yet) we already have tentative dates at the four medical offices throughout VA next two weeks, assuming that he can locate him.

Order CAIPS and re-done the FBI check as well, just so we can gather up-to-date information and submit, before we are even asked.

So tomorrow is my flight. I am going to the airport at 10pm to check in and flight is at 1:30 am april 1st. Can`t wait to see my wife and baby boy for the first time. The flight is a 21 hour flight which is pretty harsh and I gotta switch planes once. Ill keep you guys posted while im in Vietnam enjoying my time with my family. Planning on staying there as long as I can.

at quakingaspen, congrats on the initial assessment, hope all will go well for all of us from the bottom of my heart I wich we all get through this hard time away from our family and hope that the wait is not long for all of us and that one day we will be reunited with out loved ones where we want to be.

Hi QuakingAspen, and the rest of the "Club"

Congratulations for your good news.

For us, unfortunately, not yet the good news. I noticed you have us down as "Landed" but so far we have only the cryptic eCAS message 'decision made' that has been there between 1-2 weeks. No contact has been since at least the last week it has been there, even though I did follow a local EMS courier into our building to see if they were aiming towards our door once.

We never did get an "initial assessment" notification. Is that normal?

Well, hoping for some mail to arrive maybe after this email when I get home from work. I will let you know when I have the little passports in our hands with visas and you can put us down as landed.

kind regards

@ nylalisa - Congrats! That is excellent news. I was hoping that your husbands interview would go well. When will he be landing?

@ derwig - Congrats to you too! That's most of our London group through. I believe we have two more waiting for PPRs. When are you landing?

@ the Buffalo Group - No, no news today. I wonder what has slowed them down?

@ Quakingaspen,

Congrats to you as well. It is very exciting to hear good news from everyone.

My husband is gonna come on the 20th. Gives me time to finish my finals and get everything ready for him. :)

Got a email from eCas tracker this morning. I was super excited, but it was just a fake update. Hopefully they are doing something with the application.

eCas tracker was using my Sponsor's information to check for updates.

Same here! Was so excited but can't check immigration page. I am in my home country right now waiting for desicion and visiting and my husband in Canada. He can check later as I don't have ID with me!
But e-cas gave some old information I think.
ah....

Yeah I got an email for an "update" as well but it was just an old status *sigh*

Good morning, guys! Thank you all very much for the congrats. :) One more step (I hope) and we'll be through this process! I'm sorry to hear about so many false eCAS updates this morning! I didn't receive any, but I've already had 2 false reports from it. Maybe something with the new system is messing it up. But it is interesting that a lot of you who are expecting news very soon had false updates... Keeping my fingers crossed!

@ CanKazakinChina - hehe Yes, I ran out of room on the spreadsheet, so there are a few that are marked as "landed" that aren't. I wanted to make note of important dates, so I just put them in that column. I will update it when you actually do land. As far as I know, we only have one or two families that have really landed so far. I hope you will get that mail soon!

@ vietcutieboy - Have a safe flight, and try to catch some sleep on the plane. You won't want to sleep at all once you finally get there. :)

@ Cindy1 - I hope your husband is about to find his son without too much trouble. And I hope that his son's mother is cooperative. You really aren't asking too much to take him for a medical... and you're right, hopefully this will be the start of a good relationship between the two of them.

Hey guys!

I got an email from e-cas tracker this morning that my e-cas has been updated, although noticed no change online :(

Don't know what was that about ? :S

Hi Sparkle .. I received the same thing from ecas tracker, however to checking it was nothing new just information that was received earlier.

Hmmm...I wonder what's slowed them down all of a sudden in regards to the AOR !
The last one they sent out to our knowledge was on March 17 ! It's 2 weeks now, and none of us has heard anything.
It's four of you who have their files transfered to Buffalo the same day...so hopefully you guys should hear something soon.
After you all, it's my turn !

I really wish this week ends with some AOR's :(

Hi guys,
I never posted here before, but thought I'd let you know that my husband received his AOR on March 28th, and our application was transferred from Mississauga to Buffalo on January 17th (or that is when we got our Decision Made notification).
So they are working at it...just very slowly...

Thank you for posting that, Kayan! That's great news for our Buffalo folks. Did he receive it by e-mail?

Hello! We received our AOR today as well :) (pretty sure we did lol it was an email from Buffalo saying we received your app here is your case number type thing) Jan 18th for me so dont worry all it looks like they are getting back on track :)

Thanks Kayan and Candc2009 for your update. since our dates are similar I pray that we would receive AOR shortly, however, that's really good news
