@missinghim,
yw oh yes....but look at the table your the winner of all the applicants you were approved for only 21 days.....theres 1 member at the other forum, immagine her ecas did not change from decision made (sponsor) until the other day she got her visa what a surprised but im sure its a mix emotion from her, wondering what happened to her application......lets all pray thats the only weapon we have.

I checked eCas today and a decision has been made on my application:

We received your application to sponsor XXX on December 17, 2010.
We sent you a letter on January 18, 2011 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

So I should be receiving the letter soon. Hopefully I am approved...

@vietcutieboy: Can you please how you have calculated 7-8 months for in-land applicants. Secondly, I am sponsoring my new born and not my wife.

Your comments have made me worried. Please, explain!!!

I just managed to log in on ecas with my receipt number..... it says sponsorship decision made and they sent my husband a letter on January 18th!!!! SO excited, hope it's good news!

We received your application to sponsor XXXXXXXXX on December 16, 2010.

We sent you a letter on January 18, 2011 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

YAY!!

This is so great !! We all are almost done with our sponsorship approvals for outland applicants!!
I had sent my file on Dec 23, but due to the weekend and 2 holidays in between, my file reached on Dec 29.
Do you guys think I could get some information if I call them today??

Its possible?
I called but they wouldnt tell me anything because i'm the one being sponsored and my husband wasnt with me to answer questions (that i knew the answer to, like DOB, address etc, privacy laws or something, oh well!!)
That was on wednesday.
It can't hurt to try though!

Okay..so I just called....stayed on hold for 15 minutes but unfortunately the lady couldn't find anything. She verified everything for me, and then I guess checked the processing times, and just told me that it could take another 2 weeks for me :( I hope not!!

Oh, don't worry. I had to hold for 15 minutes too and I was so stressed while I was waiting.
You're application was filed a week after mine so hopefully they'll send you a letter sometime next week.
We just have to be patient!

Thanks Nylalisa & Nice2010 for ur reply.
Too bad ND doesnt send AOR for spouse cases.
I will have my spouse send them a case specific enquiry after next wk if i cant get on to Ecas.
Nice2010 i did hear it is slow.. some have already landed n ecas is 2 mths behind lol
What a great system we have.

Hi, would you please let us know how helpful is Case Specific Enquiry if your spouse uses it? Just wondering if it's worth sending this enquiry or better just wait. ;)

@ pinklady & palamr - Congrats on your approval! :) That's so exciting for you guys. I've updated your information on our spreadsheet, and I'll post this week's update in a little bit.

@ Asif_786 - Hi Asif! I'm guessing Vietcutieboy's information came from this page:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-fc.asp

The information at the top is for outland applications, and the information at the bottom is for Inland. It says the processing time there for spouse/common law is 8-9 months.

However, you're sponsoring your son rather than your wife. They don't give any specific inland timeline for children in that section. So, it's just a guess based on the timeline of other inland applications.

Don't know if my husband has been approved yet, just know from e-cas that the decision has been made. Hope it's good news! We should receive the letter today, next week at latest!!! Fingers crossed!

Maya22:

Its hard to say. Ive heard they may not even reply bk n when they have its jst a standard generic response saying its under review blah blah but maybe if it is just a simple Q like did u receive the file They may answer it. Hoping!

nice2010: no, not 21 days.To be honest i dont know how long it took cuz i was missing a signature n had to resubmit the form signed. I do know as soon as the IM in missisauga rec'd it he did finish it up quickly. But he had started before that. I estimate it took around 35 days or so like most ppl. i got it back saying form missing signature 20 days aftter sending it..then when i resubmitted it to them They took 15 days before they sent it to the VO. So thats about 35 days!!!

Hi guys! Here's this weeks update. :) Just a few more sponsorship approvals, and we'll all be on to the next stage. As always, let me know if I need to update/change anything.

@ asif_786,
I heard that inland applications takes 8-9 months to process once recieved so I calculated from the day when CIC recieved your application and the remaining time if the average processing time is 8-9 months then your application should take 7-8 months now remaining. If I am wrong please feel free to point it out. Because thats what I have heard on these forums from people.

quote from abisehiyo
["8-9months for first stage approval or AIP (approx Aug-Sept) which is a very very very long wait. That's the way it goes for inland apps. We are just patiently waiting...
Congrats to everyone who got approved, and for those still waiting, keep a positive outlook, everything will go well."]
