Asif -you are outland applicant, aren't you? For some reason they put you as inland in the table . Since your file was transfered to Islamabad and your baby with other family lives there, so I figured it has to be outland. Otherwise I am confused what's going on :Asif_786 said:Thanks GOD, letter received and decision has been made. File transfered to VO Islamabad.
Friends, what next? How to follow and track progress on VO? Would they will confirm the file transfer? Any possibilities to request for prompt action as its a new born, no police verification etc is required?
I wish best of luck for those who are waiting decision on stage one, its really a nice feeling to pass this gate ;D
Asif, I reckon your son's file is considered an Outland Application. So processing times for sponsorship application is no more than 41-43 days. Processing time for PR applications @ Canadian Embassy, Islamabad is 16th months. Thats the max. time it can take to process 80% of the applications. So if you have sent all the supporting documents together with the application, there are chances that your application may be finalized in less than 16 months.Asif_786 said:To be honest I am confuse on this in-bound, out-bound terminology. The way I have understood the CIC policy, no PR (until a citizen) can sponsor if he/she is outside Canada. So, I as a PR have to land in back without my family to sponsor our newborn (only family member without a PR). Now, I am not sure in this scenario if its an in-land or outland? My guess is that this is an outland scenario as the person to be sponsored is outside of Canada.
Outland or Inland is determined by the person who is sponsored not who is sponsoring. You as a sponsor have to live in canada (I think) to sponsor your family member who is either outside canada or inside canada with you. In your case he is outside canada so it's outland application. Your guess is rightAsif_786 said:To be honest I am confuse on this in-bound, out-bound terminology. Thank you quakingaspenquakingaspen said:Hi Narcotics. Welcome to the forum! You're out second member from Sydney. Gally is also going through that Visa Office, and is only a few days behind you. I've added you to our spreadsheet.
Asif, it sounds like your application is indeed outland. Inland is only used when your family member is here in Canada with you. I've updated our spreadsheet to correctly indicate that you're going through the Islamabad Visa Office.
Actually, this isn't quite true. You can still choose to apply Outland if you are living in Canada. My husband is here on a work permit and we applied outland.missinghim said:Inland is when the relative & the sponsor live in Canada together!!!
Outland is when the relative u sponsor lives abroad.
-The sponsor if a permanent resident has to live in canada to sponsor
-Sponsors who are Canadian citizens dont have to live in canada to sponsor...They can sponsor while they live aboard with their relative - only thign is in this case- the sponsor has to give proof that he/she will return w/ relative after relative gets PR.
This is on the CIC website:
Depending on whether your relatives live inside or outside Canada, the application kits for sponsorship and permanent residence are different.
1) If your spouse, partner or accompanying dependent child lives with you in Canada, use the Application for Permanent Residence in Canada—Spouse or Common-law Partner.
2) If your spouse, partner or dependent child lives abroad, use the Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class.
1 is inland & 2 is outland!!!
