So far people who called CIC got the news a few days earlier then recieving the DM letter, I guess thats what I will be doing when mines reaches around 35 days because thats the average time calculated by people in this thread who got their DM.

I think i'll just wait it out. Feeling more and more anxious everyday.
I think i'll receive a letter next week, I hope I do otherwise I'll really start to panic.....argh!!

ok guys, haha funny I called CIC the day I received the letter in my mail!!! so to clarify the date on the letter is Jan 17/11 so if you want to update your table there you go!! I'm so excited and happy today, I know its just the first step in a long process but it still something and better than nothing right?!!!

@ pinklady, assuming all goes well, you should be recieving your letter tomorrow or latest the day after.

I called 1-888-242-2100 I basically waited 10 minutes for an agent to pickup... then when the lady answered (she seemed nice) I told her "I was wondering if you could help me find out the status of my application?" then she asked if it was inland or outland and I told her outland, then she asked me for my personal info, and she told me that I was approved and that I should be receiving a letter anytime (which I did). Thank God this part is over it was killing me! I am sure you will all get DM soon!

I just called but because its my husband who is the sponsor and he's not with me, they wouldnt do a search for me he searched for my name but couldnt find anything. Also he asked me when i posted it etc and told me not to worry.
Hmmmmm I feel cheated!! I was on hold for almost 15 minutes for nothing!!!!! Argh!!

@ pinklady, Does that mean when they send the letter, it will be mailed to your husband? You should get your husband to try calling if possible.

I know, he's at work at the mo and the call centre hours end at 4pm.
Yeah, the letter will be mailed to him at his canadian address. I am currently in canada though on a visitor visa.
Never mind, at least i tried!! Maybe we'll get a letter tomorrow??
I'm just so damn anxious!!!!!!

@ Vietcutieboy & pinklady - Yes, the sponsor is the one who receives the letter when it comes. When I called to check on the status of my application, when they found out I wasn't the sponsor they gave me the information that's available on the website and did not offer to search any further. I suspect that it is much easier for the sponsor the get the information rather than the applicant. Also, to access the information in eCAS you have to use the sponsor's family name, birth date, and birth location. So... I would guess that part of the process is geared towards the sponsor more than the applicant.

Hi Panda, i am going through ND too. I have seen u on the ND 2010 thread.

This is for anyone: After file goes to VO - do you then access the information in eCAS using applicant's personal info; for example, their birth date, and their birth location. Would client No. work?
My VO doesnt send AOR. So i just have to check Ecas later.
How do you obtain file no if no AOR is sent?
I know my hubby updated his adress thru email with the VO after i got approved and app got sent to VO,..Well. VO replied saying they need signature & to write letter, sign it n scan it if he wants to email the update! lol
With their reply they gave him a file no. I dont know if this is the official one or not.
It contains more 0s then id like it to lol
