1) Application sent n rec'd by mississauga on Oct 12th.
2) Then rec'd letter frm embassy on Nov 8 asking me to resubmit application to the attention of a specific visa officer.
3) Application sent back to Mississauga to visa officer & rec'd on Dec 14th.

-Type: Family (for spouse sponsorship)
-VO will be new Delhi

How come they asked you to resubmit the application to the attention of a visa officer ? Are we usually supposed to do that ??

Just checked my post status...and it says that the file was successfully delivered today !
So my file was received by CPC-Mississauga on December 29, 2010 !

Thanks for all your effort I hope so too that we all hear some good news pretty quick !!
Just wondering, Will they mail a letter to me (sponsor) regarding the sponsor decision or would they provide a file number to check status online?

Hello all.

I am in the same boat as many of you and it is very helpful to hear all of the other stories of people with similar concerns.

We sent our application to Mississauga on the 3/12/10 and it was signed for on the 15/12/10.

We are currently just waiting on the sponsor decision. hopefully the Christmas period won't delay proceedings too long!!

@ Sparkle - From the best of my understanding and reading of the forums, they'll send you (the sponsor) a letter regarding the sponsorship decision. I think at that point they'll also assign a case number to the file. My best guess is they'll give you the case number in the letter they send.

@MandP - Welcome to the December forum! I've added you to our list. You're the second one we have going through the London office. Congrats on getting your application in!
