Hehe...because I need that letter...but, I have to wait for that.. :(

They only said that they'll resend it right away. Not sure what that means really but since we already got the info (ie approval of sponsorship and client ID) we're in no rush to get the letter. Maybe it'll come by the end of next week or maybe even the week after that. Hope you get your letter soon, LoveThai. Let us know!

Hey there... I was wondering if I could get an opinion about my husband's police checks. My husband (from the U.S.) has previously spent a year in Canada on a visitor's visa and we outlined this in our application. The only thing is when I went to see how to obtain a Canadian police check on the Canada Immigration site, it said that if this is needed, they will let us know. Do you guys think it is inevitable that they will ask us to obtain one from the RCMP or is there a chance they won't ask for a Canadian check? I'm trying to decide if we should go ahead and order one and send it in before they ask with our Client ID, or just wait and see.
 
StillSmilin- Most of the time, the answer is "wait until they ask". However, it might not hurt to obtain one and hold onto it incase they do ask... which in my opinion MAY just happen because they do want a police certificate from every county lived in for over 6 months (I believe it's 6 months). If you do decide to send it in, I would wait for your AOR to come in from Buffalo with the stickers so you are sure it is going to the right file, the one with your name and numbers.

Now I had a problem. I sent my application on Aug 3,2010 and I though CIC recieved Aug 12,2010 untill now I cannot log in to ecas my reciept start from Rxxxxxx one time when I log in they said I had put in wrong article it's must be start with Bxxxxxx so I don't know how I can check my status. If anyone know Please help

I'm just wondering if you are using the Receipt Number IMM5401 option. I seem to remember trying to put my receipt number where it asks for the client ID number and I got the same screen. Be sure to use the Receipt Number IMM5401 option, see if that helps.

yes I am try to follow them and filled everything but still "we were not able............." I am so worried about that because many post who sent application after me can check and knew thier status :'( :'(

I'm sorry that didn't work for you. I guess you might have to call to tell them about your problem getting into ecas. You may receive your letter before you get into ecas. They received my application on Aug.13th and sent my letter out last Monday, Sept.13th. I haven't received it yet but it should be here soon. Hopefully yours will be there soon too.
 
After I got into ecas last week I called to find out if I was approved or not and the guy on the other end would definitely not even check for me. He said wait till you get your letter. I had waited on the phone quite awhile so couldn't be bothered to try to get someone else on the phone again. He didn't even take my name, nothing...
 
It would be really nice if they could tell you considering we're the ones who have paid and we're the ones who deserve a simple answer of "yes or no" about the approval. We paid for a service in a sense, you know? Must be for privacy reasons, incase you aren't who you say you are and that... but it still seems so unfair. ???
