Hi everyone. I am a new member, we just applied..so thought of joining this thread!

Meds & PCC Done: Jun 29,2010
Fees Paid: Jul 14,2010
Application completed and sent: Aug 16,2010
Application Rec'd: Aug 18, 2010

I guess, now the waiting begins.. I want to know whether or when they will get back to me..? I just tracked that they had recd the app..but will they give me/my hubby any confirmation of receiving the application? when can i start using the online tracker?

Hi sourblush... welcome to the August thread. Are you applying inland or outland? I have only been paying attention to the outland, so from what I just read online a couple nights ago, it is posted that Mississauga is taking 44 days on average to process applications. I think that is a bit longer than it was a few months ago, I seem to recall reading 38 days at one point. From what I have read, then they will send you a letter saying you were or were not approved for sponsorship and then they transfer your file to the appropriate visa office for further processing. I don't think the online tracker will come into play until you get that first letter and get an ID number. Anyone on here with better knowledge of this could step in and let us know if I'm right or not. Good luck and hope you stay in touch on here with us!

Welcome to the August thread, sourblush! Your previous posts show you mentioned applying through New Delhi, is that correct? In the July thread, people are getting approved in about 5 weeks on average. These updates from us applying in August will help give you a rough idea of what CIC is up to in terms of processing times.

My wife and I finally got our application sent on August 5th. She is South Korean born and raised in the US, and we had some issues getting her Korean documents translated, but everything is finally on its way and now our lives are in some stranger's hands...

i am in canada and my husband is in new delhi
the application is an outland app
i had read here that paying early helps with the processing time? (thats why i had already paid on the 14th of july)
if not, i guess ill have to wait it out the 44 days then
anyway

Finally I have sent the application off and don't have to do anymore checking and re-checking, I think methodical eventually becomes obession.

I was the same way. Now I have constant "flashbacks" thinking, "Oh God, did I do that?" or "Oh no, what if that wasn't enough?" It really is torture!
