passport came in the mail today!!! super short timeline, sent it off October 26 and got it today, 2 weeks total to London! Might even land tomorrow, so exciting!
 
Congrats married2brit! iLovesnow...I am not too sure about the answers to your questions, but maybe Nyssa can help you based on what she did via the mail recently!

I have a question as well... My husband is going to go get that all important visa put into his passport next week, but then we run into trouble. He was planning a trip to Canada at the end of November and then also to visit me for Christmas and New Years. Can he do these two trips with the visa in his passport, but without landing at the same time? Will they let him enter without actually landing? He feels he needs a bit more time to plan and save money before quitting his job and moving to Canada... but now I'm worried I won't be able to spend Christmas with him!? ??? I am ECSTATIC about getting the PPR, but it sure does send you into a whole new planning mode!
 
iloveSnow - I don't know about other members of the family as I am the only one being sponsored and have no children. As for your other question, you can definitely mail your passport in Canada. Here is the link: http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/buffalo/imm/submit_soumettre.aspx

I FINALLY GOT IT!!!!!!!!! I can't believe it. My husband sent me a random pdf file and that was it!!! I was crying my eyes out a minute ago!! It's finally over and I can have the love of my life back!! This is the happiest day of my life (NOT INCLUDING MY WEDDING!!) <3 <3

I need to figure out if we can do the walk-in same day landing in Detroit like in Buffalo....

Congradz Angelb..the stress is so over with. The loneliness is soo yesterday Im jealously happy for you lol. All the best in the long life ahead. Im just feeling sick of this process...I think I should consider Joining the December thread coz erbody seems to be leaving :(

I am flying up to spend Christmas with my husband but I am also not ready to do the landing. I too would like to know if we can fly up with the visa in our passport without actually landing at the same time.
 
LANDED today!!! Pretty easy procedure at the Niagara Falls USA border. Passport came yesterday, drove down today. Canada immigration side told us that we had to go to the US side in order to 'flagpole', which we did but instead got admitted to the states and went shopping. When we came back to the Canadian side everything went soooo smoothly!! We spent 10 minutes tops talking to the immigration officer and then off we went, with my newly landed, immigrant husband! Great day!!! Good luck to everyone else, no better feeling than walking away from that immigration office.

Congrats!! Cannot WAIT to walk away from it myself. Hoping to do that by the end of the month!
