I think they have finalized Gows's application at the day they called. if landing fee were paid, she would have got the visa next day after she got that call.
Sulo, your time frame seems ok with this week (5 months and 2 weeks). Gows got the response in 5 months and a week.
Did you check online status? you may have some luck there. I checked no luck there (5 months and a week)

We all know that as a canadain, we can't expect the government workers to work around the schedule as well as they are working in SL that is the country with so many holidays.

I sent our dossier the 31 of October, but I think we can get count in the November group hehe. I just checked that our app was received in Mississauga on nov 4 at 11:59 am so let the waiting game begin!!!

ohh my God so your process is pretty much finished right? it didnt even take a year right? mines is still in process since october 2009 and i havent received a response my husband is in colombia lets hope we get it soon

I checked the online status and there's nothing new. Anyway, since we paid our RPRF at the beginning of the process I really don't know what to expect next. It could be an interview or another backround check . Any news from your side Gows?

Hi,
It is really frustrating. I believe, if I don't get any news within a week, something is going bad for my application . One of my relative, he applied almost two months earlier than me and waiting until now. CHC is just telling the background check, when he contact the them.
Same as my status, CHC don’t ask a single document from him after the first submission.
What we can do, these are the immigration policy of the GREAT CANADIAN.

Since the application has reached the 6-month period, has your husband tried to contact the CHC-Col? When my husband inquired about the application few months ago he wast told to wait until the next week of June before contacting the embassy for further info. So...he'll probably be going next week.

Nothing is new here. My relative he applied 5 weeks earlier than me has received the visa two week ago.
I hope we may have a chance in couple of weeks .

I'm a Canadian and I sent my application for my Peruvian wife in November. Decision was made on sponsorship, visa process started December 23, 2009. I have yet to hear a peep since receiving the first letter confirming my eligibility. Will be six months on June 23rd since they started processing in Lima. This sucks

There is nothing new. Still my ecas is "IN PROCESS". Sulo, You told me last week that your husband will be going to CHC this week. Did he have a chance to visit there? Any updates?.

My Husband is not in Colombo these days and he will be back in a week. Probably, i will ask him to go next weeK to CHC.
