I had my T4 but no option c. I told cic that this is my first time filing of returns so I have not received my option c yet. Yes, it is approved. Since its for your kid, there is no minimum income necessary to sponsor. But forms have these details to be filled. It wont be much of a problem. You can apply

Dear knowledgeable friends in this forum please help. I submitted my application in early March and CIC asked for additional docs in late April and I provided promptly but since then I still have not received AOR (been 3 months now)hence no case number. Is there any way I can contact CIC and find out what is going on please?

My Time Line for daughter's Sponsorship Application. I am a 2019 Applicant though:

Application submitted February 11th, 2019
Application received 15th February 2019
Acknowledgement received via Email 23rd March 2019
Application in process since then
No update
Medical request awaited
PPR awaited

Timeline for my daughter (who is in Canada) sponsorship application:

Application submitted March 23, 2019
Application received March 25 2019
Acknowledgement received via Email April 26 2019
Medical Request: Jul 3, 2019
Medical Results Received: Jul 7, 2019

Still have not got any emails or updates about sponsor approval...
Hopefully they will expedite the process for all of us

Applications for sponsoring dependent children are less common that others in the family class. Hopefully this 2018 thread would help us monitor some of information and track our timelines. Let's post them.

The application for my daughter was done within Canada and summited to the IRCC office in Mississauga originally.

29-Aug 2018 - Application Submitted
* 05-Sep 2018 - Acknowledgement received by email

* 24-Nov 2018 - Acknowledgement received of Sponsorship application by email
* 27-Nov 2018 - Medical Request Letter received via email

* 05-Dec 2018 – Application sent to the VO (visa Office)

* 17-Dec 2018 – Medical examination
* 06-Jan 2019 - Status updated in website, “Medical results have been received”
* 08-Jan 2019 – update in ECAS by VO. Started processing on Jan 08, 2019


* Pending Medical test passed
* Pending Passport request (PPR)

Application sent Feb22 2019. Application receive: feb 25 2019. Aor March 30th. Acknowledgement of sponsorship April 17. Application transfer to VO May 9th. Medical Request July 26 2019. Medical pass August 1st. Still waiting for PR

Me and my wife are Canadian PR. We got PR before our daughter was born. Our daughter was born in USA in July 2018. We moved to Canada in April 2019 and applied for her PR in May 2019.

This is the timeline of our case:

1.) It was received in Sydney office on May 27,2019.
2.) It was AOR on July 16,2019.
2.) On July 23,2019 I met the eligibility condition for being a sponsor and also told to take the medical exam.
3.) On July 26,2019 got a message telling the case was transferred to Mississauga for processing.
4.) On July 31,2019 took the medical exam.
5.) On August 9,2019 saw the status that the medical exam was passed.
6.) On August 21,2019 got a message telling case was transferred to Los Angeles office for processing.

I had paid the bio metrics fee while submitting the application but they refunded it back.

Has any one else faced this issue for their US born dependent child PR sponsorship application being sent to Los Angeles office from Mississauga office? Thanks.

Children under 14 years old don’t do biometric. Maybe that why the refund it

Hi , I hope you are all doing good. I have a query regarding child sponsorship. I came to Canada in July on PR (Returning immigrant ) and applied for dependent child sponsorship who was living outside Canada (outland PR) , along with that I also applied TRP so that we can live together as a family. TRP was granted child is here in Canada. In parallel to this sponsorship is also approved and medical request is received today , the medical letter has address of back home but child is with us in Canada. So I have below questions.

1. Can we have his medical's test in Ontario (As we are living in Ontario)
2. Should I update the CIC about change of address of my son.
3. Will changing address has any negative effect or delay in application.
