And yes, Mississauga sends a letter on the mail and when the application is transfer to the visa office it will depend on the visa office to communicate by email or mail...for what I´ve read in other threads, sometimes they only contact you when they request more documents or to request the passport and it also up to the IO who is processing your application to update e-cas or not.

I am worried I will be unable to use my receipt because I sent 2 seperate receipts (1 receipt $490, 1 receipt $550). I will have to wait for the mail! Thanks you guys Smiley

I paid in two separate payments and I thought that is why it was not working, however, my receipt number is finally working, 3 days after the letter was issued. So I guess if you are further from the Mississauga office and do not get it within 1-2 days like I did, the receipt number is still a good means to find out prior to receiving the letter.

Well, CPC-M has finally updated processing times, currently sitting at 44 days up to July 14th...

Knowing that my file was received on the 16th (a friday) i'm now prepared for them not to have even started looking at the sponsors part until the 19th at the earliest.

Guess it's another weekend of trying to forget about it lol!

Awww, 44 days? Boo! I still have a few weeks to go, myself. It's already been about 20 days since I mailed it.... feels so much longer than that. I guess I'm only half-way there!

We sent our application to London 5 weeks ago now and we both live here currently. As yet nothing back with a case number or anything. We paid using a bank draft so don't have a payment number or anything to be able to check online.

Should I get a letter or email or something with a case number? Also does anyone know how long this takes roughly?

BOOO!!!! I was hoping they'd jump a lot further than that!! Oh well, maybe this means this is what they've finished now, even though I know that's not what the processing times update means. How come it feels like the closer it gets, the further it is away....

Do you have any more details regarding your application type?

I'm going to make some assumptions here, that you have sent your application to London?

Outland applications should first be sent to Mississauga. They will forward the application to the relevant visa office, in your case London, after assessing and approving the sponsors part of the application.

The payment is usually sent with the application to CPC Mississauga aswell.

Once CPC-M have processed their part of the application, you should receive a letter, which is currently taking circa 44 days.

If however, you have sent your application directly to London, i have no idea where it will be or what happens to it. It may be worth trying to contact the visa office in London to trace it with the hope of getting it returned to you to forward to Mississauga or asking for more experienced help on these forums in a separate subject thread.

sometimes it almost feels like I should volunteer some time to help out in the Mississauga office with their backlog lol..... Mine was received on 7/20 so I guess i'll have to wait another week to possibly be able to log on to ecas.... *fingers double crossed*

Congrats!! Also this is great news, since according to the chart your app was received the 15th....and therefore AFTER the 'processing up to' date in the CIC page update!!

So maybe they're still processing at the same pace, and their 'processing up to' date really means 'transferred up to'...... fingers crossed, I can still hope to get my letter sometime next week!

My husband officially received the letter from cpc-m today stating that we were approved and my application was transfered to Buffalo (7/13) so one step down, one (big one) to go

rrdiggy76 I wish I was receiving news soon. Since I applied inland, I won't hear any news for 8-9 months. And I won't even know when they start processing it until about another month and a half.

Oh well, just got to bare through it. I am sure all the waiting will be worth it. Everyone just promise me that they will still check on me long after you all get your PPR requests.

And Vegreville must be on vacation because they just updated their timeline to 8-9 months. Not going to lie, it is discouraging but what can I do about it? Nothing. So best for me just to relax and when they need something then I will know. Until then just trying to "pretend" I am already living a normal life in Canada. With hopes, we may be moving out of the in laws house by November. Plans to move, my hubby's birthday in October, and our 2 year 'dating' anniversary is what I am looking forward to.

Anyway, sorry for talking so much about myself. Hope you all are staying strong through this all and enjoying the rest of your summer. PPRs will be coming before you know.

By the way, does anyone have anything else there looking forward to?
Maybe birthday, trip, holiday, etc. Thought that would be fun to share.
