not so specific to july 2010 apps, but only in so much as i have submitted this month:

ive changed my name on my driver's license and health card and am going to go change it for my SIN card this aft, but will the fact that some of my identity docs say my maiden name and others say my married name in the sponsorship application affect how it is processed? i mentioned in a letter i included with the app that i was in the midst of changing over all documents... :S

im just thinking that my passport should be updated asap and just wondering if me initating the process for name change (requesting a NEW passport, and paying the fees boooo) will jeopardize our current application if my new passport essentially voids my old one? unless this is just related to identity, i mean, it would be void as a travel document but not as identification right?

what should i do? change passport now?
any advice and guidance is appreciated

we got the medical done yesterday...woohoo! so glad that's out of the way.

now all that's left is filling in a few blanks in the forms by hand - my computer doesn't always want to allow me to type in the blanks of the fillable forms, and *gulp* organizing everything into something coherent.

Now I know I am getting way ahead of myself on this, but how long typically is it before you can logon to ecas? Even if there is no updated into, but just be able to find your case?

Nervously waiting for Vegreville to recieve or application.
It says it is in Edmonton as of today.

I need to see if I can get my money back because I bought Priority Next AM for a reason.
Oh well, as long as it gets there in one piece.

My kids application arrived yesterday to Sidney, NS.
Still no prints, if they don't come in the mail tomorrow I'm going to call. Though it's only been a week since the money order was cashed.

Very frustratingly, my application was posted Tuesday and hoped it would be in Mississauga by now but, alas, DHL decided to try and deliver it at 6.20pm thursday night??!!!

Instead they found it was closed.

I could have told them that, even living here in England!

I hope they get it to them today, otherwise i'll have to wait all weekend

rrdiggy76, I know how you feel. Same thing seems to be happening with our application too and we submitted it within Canada.
I am debating if I should get my money back or not.
I don't want to be rude to the people down at our post office because they are sweet hearts to us.

It seems like right now the processing time is taking about 42days, at least thats what it says on CIC website.
They are still processing people who applied on June. I´ve been checking June´s thread and people who applied up to June 10 it´s just starting to receive their letters of approval and being able to log on to ecas.

So, I believe you can only log on once they have reach decision on the first stage...
You will need to give the sponsors name, date of birth and an ID case number or some people said the Receipt number also works, I personally will start trying to log in once its been a month that the application is in.
