We've known each other for just over a year so I only sent in about 40 or so pictures. 8 or so for each time we were together and some wedding photos. Not much for email and no phone bills, but I send all the Skype call logs. I also sent all the itineraries from my trips in the last year and passport stamps etc.

Got it, thanks... I know we won't have as much email and stuff as we have lived together abroad since Jan. 2007, so not much need for that stuff....and not judging honestly just asking is 500 pictures considered common or average etc? I am sure we have no where near that many pics together just trying to make sure we put our best foot forward.

Thanks

Lol...I know what you mean. I was cursing as I was going through all the pictures and wondering why I needed to send so many. We had a pretty big Indian Wedding so what I did with our pictures was show all the rituals and events that I had personally and then all the rituals and events that my husband had. Then I had the wedding and the reception which showed all of our friends and family members and ultimately our honeymoon and our time afterward. I didn't aim for 500 pictures, it just ended up that way. I know that my cousin who sponsored her husband last year was asked for more pictures from "his" side as more proof was required that it was a genuine marriage. She had originally sent about 300 or so pictures. But I don't think its the quantity but what the pictures show. I was lucky in that there are so many rituals that we go through, that I was able to give importance to each one to support the genuineness of our marriage.

I just figured it was best to send more rather than less!

I hear ya, and as I have been going through our photos the last two days I can see how fast they add up. I am at 140 now and I have not got through 2009 and yet. We were married back in 2007 so lots of pics from the wedding and honeymoon and of course being a Thai wedding lots of rituals there as well. Then trips to Hong Kong, Canada and two to Australia, lord the pics start adding up in a hurry. I am always teasing my wife that she seems to have the camera glued to her hands but now she is teasing me right back saying see, good thing I glued it there hahaha.. very very true...

Thanks for your feedback and good luck in the RP process.

Did anyone in here heard anything yet? Let's all keep eachother posted ;D ;D

Well, as of this morning, I have been officially approved to sponsor my husband! I received my letter in the mail today from CPC-M. It was dated April 30, 2010 so I received it within a week. My application has now been sent to New Delhi. The waiting begins for Step 2.

nothing yet.. could something be wrong? :(

I don't think anything is wrong. There are so many variable in this and it is very difficult to predict anything. I called CIC yesterday on a matter concerning my husband's medical and I just asked out of the blue for my client number and she actually gave it to me. Maybe try calling them and asking what your client ID is. This number if provided allows you to access E-CAS more easily than using other forms of identification.

The number I called is 1-888-242-2100 and the call center is open from Mon-Fri 8am-4pm EST

I called CIC this morning, the agent told me because they received my application 6th/April.. I should be getting my first reply anytime from the ending of May-Beginning of June..

What a long wait! :(

ya thats why I'm going to wait another month, lets see..

The call center is actually different from where your application is processed. The purpose of the call centers is to provide phone support to callers with C & I questions.... so call or no call it does not have an impact on your application processing times...

^^^
I agree...The call center can only tell you what is already in your file. So I was able to get a client number as it had already been established. I just had not received my approval letter yet. These are not the people that are actively perusing your file and making decisions on it.

Hiya! I'm new here - so glad I've found this website and the people who are going through the same thing;) CIC received our package (3.5kg!) on April 28th so now it's a waiting game. I'm from Russia and my husband is a Canadian, sponsoring me from outside Canada.
Good luck to everyone! ;)
