@ DNT ...thnx for sharing ur story..it was nice reading it! :)

@ fprince... we all hope you add another line to your story "Fianlly...ND gave the visa and fprince and his wife lived happily everafter" sooon!!!! :)
btw..I think I'm in for a long process since they req addtional documents...No fuss...I'll be happy if we can wrap up in the next two months.

@ meateater...I know u sent in ur application way before me...but I can totally relate to ur sleepless nights...! I remember u were the first to get the PPR in the February applicants.. ...so..may be another couple of days for u!

where is DrDave?

So...we have sent the additional docs they were asking...now it's gone all quite and we don't know what on earth is happening with the application...! :'(

Did they ask for you for more..i remember they asked you for something last week or so..was this the 2nd request?

Congratulations bro, you are almost there too... I wonder if my PPR is with the Post Office or what, cuz my file was transferred on the same day as you are :S

@ DNT2003, if there is one thing that I've learned from this forum is that you can NEVER compare your file status to that of another... ND has their own screwed up way of doing things. There are members here who applied after me and have received ppr/ visas! In any case good news is on its way for all of us... keep your spirits high :)

@gagan ..thanks! I really hope it's only a few more days!

@prince...no...there was no 2nd req...let see...
I guess u didn't get a reply bk for the CSE? hmm....guess it's a good thing? I remeber u posting that if they are close to issuing the visa then they won't reply.

Another day with no update in e-cas. I can totally relate to the slepless nights that you guys alluded to......all that is on mind is Visa, Visa, Visa......

Just have to be patient and think that with each passing day we are closer to having our loved ones join us in Canada

You are welcome, I'm glad you liked it.. happy reading :)

Nope, no reply for the CSE sent 2 weeks ago..not sure if they are even 10% close to issuing me a visa as they still haven't sent me a PPR...don think they can make a decision before a PPR..i still suspect where my file is..as it has been a month they gave me a file # and still no PPR..while new files transferred are getting PPR..they screwed up my file big big time..very unlucky.

Well basically the lady called my husband who lives in india and is the applicant.
She asked him questions like
When did you two first meet?
When was your Marriage?
Does your spouse have any siblings?
Where does she work? what does she do...
What day did she leave INDIA
How do you two communicate?
do you two email?
Do you have family in CANADA?
Did your father in law attend the marriage?
How old are you?

these are most of the ones I can remmemebr he told me..ill update if theres more :) it was good feeling knowing they are looking into it...i just want the PPR

Thanks for sharing the questions, as i once said in an old post.
Usually when they cross check over the phone or do an interview most of the questions they ask you is from the file you submitted...
if you can read Deepivi's questions, everything was in the file and are questions we need to answer in the forms.

They usually make sure that the applicant knows a lot about the sponsor, and they can not usually ask you questions out of the blue as they do not know the answer themselves..so just make sure you refresh your memory with your file...
as an applicant its always advisable to read your forms you submitted once a month or something so in case they call..you get 100/100 :P

Yes that's true, but sometimes when you look at the stats, and see something similar in the data, it makes me wanna raise questions:

FebPR: Filed: Feb 18, 2011 - FileXfer: Mar 23 - FileRX: Apr 05 - PPR: Apr 15 2011 - Still waiting for VISA
gaganmaan4u: Filed: Mar 01, 2011 - FileXfer: Mar 29 - FileRX: Apr 05 - PPR: Apr 15 2011 - Still waiting for VISA
DNT2003: Filed: Feb 23, 2011 - FileXfer: Mar 23 - FileRX: Apr 05, 2011 --- NO PPR YET

That's all, and you are very right about comparing with other people, but it just came to my mind... :)

and I know good news are on the way for us.. its just this UNKNOWN date for our good news gets me...

yeaa he most defintely got 100% :D

Thanks for posting these questions, they are definatley helpufl, and usually in every conversation I have with my wife, I tell her few things,

and randomly we role play, and I ask her questions as if I was the VO from ND, and she jokes with a me a lot.. and we both have a big laugh about it ...

for example...
What does your husband do? (Aapka husband kiya kaam karta hai?) = She Replied: "Mujhe Piyaar Karta Hai" (He loves me) LMAO hahahaha

I love my wife!!!!

ND is it time yet ???? show us some love.....

It seems my story with my lawyer is going to be a protracted one. First I was thinking the PPR letter will come to Toronto from New Delhi (easily 15 to 20 days). But luckily that did not happen. But my lawyer due to some reason did not send the original marriage photographs. He took the photocopies of it and send it with the file. I can't find the rationale behind it. >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Today My wife got a letter from CHC-New Delhi for sending the original marriage and outing/post marriage photographs. They send the PPR letter on 15/APR/2011. Then I guess when they reviewed the file they could not see the original photographs. So they send the letter for original marriage photographs on 19/APR/2011.

My luck :( :( :( :( :(

Congrats gaganmaan4u!! This is great.

Post man got the letter on 23rd April but decided to deliver it on 27th April. Where do they find these people???
I guess this is the reason some people suggest bribing the postman for the PPR and PP with VISA.

You can use SpeedPost or DHL to send your passport. They both deliver the next day.
