I was thinking the same. If you would photo copy them and send the photo copies then I could have given you soft copies (.jpeg) file and you could have printed them in A4 paper. So why CHC-New Delhi is asking for original photos in the instructions to send applications.

She is taking the prints and will be sending tomorrow. This spouse PR thing is driving me crazy. Niether am I concentrating at work nor enjoying time at home. This forum is the only good place.

i have never heard any lawyer doing this kind of thing...i mean u already spent the money on printing the original photographs and then ur lawyer sent the photocopies of the photographs....



and now ur spouse got the letter......i would suggest that send all the photographs to wife in email and tell her to print in color....and send them like 200-300 pics...so the package weighs like 2-3 kg...and speedpost to chc nd

no update on ecas....it still says application recieved on april.11

This exactly is what is bad about ND... since they called your husband that surely means they have opened your file and started working on it.... but they will not bother to change ecas to "IN PROCESS"... suppose your husband had not got the call you must have been wondering why they have not opened my file yet and its been almost 20 days since they got it.... i wonder why they can't update ecas although they must have opened their computers for accessing the info regarding the file...

Here is my two cents on your case. The fact that you have not get a response from MP is sufficient to prove that they have messed up the case and CHC-New Delhi is not replying.

I mean you have standard time line to reply, blah..blah.. But when one of the processes failed at your end, then should not you at least give the applicant the status. How long does it take to check the status on the file and reply? How long does it take to review a case?? At least send the PPR.

Contacting minister would be a good step as they are in backfoot for your case.

I once read in some thread abt someone who contact the immigration minister's office about his case and they replied and looked into it.
I am considering the same course of action in a few days about my crazy delay

MP did get me a reply from ND in March which said " ND is still waiting for the hard copies"
This is the messed up part as...
my file was in process from feb 15> how come

So still not sure if ND received my file..but they assigned a file number
can't really decide what and where...it is kinda complicated.

cuz @ one point i remember...nylalisa mentioned that chc nd created the file when they receive the hard copy of the file...so does it mean that they received the hard copy in march and that is why they issued u a file number....



also...i am with others is that u should now approach to the office as to bring it in their attention....

No Man I only called him to get a quote, and he was saying $1400, but the guy who delayed everything was some guy on Markham Rd and Lawrence Ave East area...

I called one other place and the lady bothered me about 5 times because I asked her for a quote.. and she quoted me $1800..., and I didn't want her service, but she called me 5 times to see what I was doing about my stuff, and finally I said "I thank you for calling me to motivate me, but at the moment I've decided not to sponsor my wife, because I'm moving to India forever" she hung up the phone on me lol...

I knew the Immigration + Sponsor + PR fees = 1040, but I would still throw an additional question to them... Does this include all the fees? and right away they would say "NO" our fees are 1400 or 1800 and you have to pay the other... lol

You sound exacly like me... its really hard to keep the mind where it should be because of all these things.. but we all gotta hang in tight.. and just support each others... no worries bro.. you are almost getting there.... we all will make it.. and there will be a day very soon... on which we get to announce.... "I got the PPR" or "Finally I got approved!!!!" and the last one "I got the Passport with the shiny sticker today"

I also know for sure that CHC-New Delhi creates the file number after they receive the hard copy of application documents. I think when you started to enquire, the hard copy of the application was sent to New Delhi and they created the file number.

But due to some strange reason they are not looking at the file. Otherwise they would have sent the passport request, as we are seeing in recent PPRs. This should be brought to their attention. It's not that you applied in March and enquiring on the file. It's been a long time since you submitted the application.

That's why you will always here on these forums... NEVER rely on eCAS, we have a case where someone got scheduled for interview, received the letter, and on eCAS NOTHING.. I hope they follow some sort of consistancy... and work how they are supposed to... update the damm status ND!!!!

I wonder if this is also the case with OTHER Visa Offices around the globe?

i know...that's what they want..fee.....but i still dont get it...what is the point of making photocopies of photographs....that is still unbelievable...

It's very tough to wait and wait and wait. Then you find that something has been screwed up.

The process of filling up the application, gathering the documents, photographs, etc. is so time consuming and boring. Why the VO does not believe that without genuine marriage, why would somebody go through this hell.

Why don't the people at New Delhi understand that however through they are in checking the document, there will be cases where the fraud marriage will be approved. No process/system is full proof and no body can create a full proof system. So what is the point of behaving like this. If we look at the last financial crisis, everybody is saying the regulation should be changed to stop the crisis like this. But the truth is whenever human beings are involved, there will crisis once in couple of years. In last 200 years it has not stopped and it will not stop in the near future. Because right after the crisis regulators will be tough and when they see 3 or 4 years of no crisis, then they will be lax. That's when crisis develops. This is related to human behaviour. Humans have a short memory.

Same with this PR process. When fraud is reported in media, VOs get strict and after few months they become lax.
