@ FPrince,

What exactly does your ECas actually say when you click on in process?

Well sis...it is the same with the client id and her file #

For client ID :
Permanent Residence
We received XXX application for permanent residence on January 4, 2011.

We started processing XXX application on February 15, 2011.

For her file number which starts with F ( which ND gave me through an email reply last week )
Permanent Residence
We received XXX application for permanent residence on January 4, 2011.

We started processing XXX application on February 15, 2011.

Ive never been able to sign in using that number, your wife is lucky.

Could it be cos they got your hubby's name wrong intially? so its not allowing you to log in...but from my experience it has the same details..not sure what happens when decision made is updated...guys who have this status-is this visible for both client id and file #?

Since medicals are valid for only 6 months, has anyone had their medicals expire BEFORE visa was issued? Thanks.

Medials is valid for 1 year..the PR visa usually expires on the day the medicals expires.
IF medicals did expire before the visa is issued, they will ask you to redo medicals..but that is only after 1 year.

@ FPrince dude,

Let me clear somethings up for you. Whatever your MP told you... He's or She's an idiot, anyone they talked to at ND is an idiot. So let me tell you... what date were you approved as a sponsor? Because this is the date your file transferred. ND received it on Jan 4th and they have been processing or sitting on their asses with it since Feb 15th. The one thing ECas is pretty acurrate with is dates. Once there is some sort of update. My file got to ND on 17th Jan, transfer started on 6th Jan... which if you compare my timeline with yours makes sense. It also makes sense since it makes a pit stop in Ottawa, a day or two for scanning.. then diplomatic posting. You hit the holidays so thats a few days delay for you.

I would bet since the MP stirred things up now, you will get a letter in the next 2 weeks max to send your ppt. What a bunch of frecking morons.

Btw FPrince,

Let your wife know she is married to a genius. Sooooo I did name variations based on what I saw on CAIPS and guess wht... ta da.. I could log in with his info and full name. At one point they entered his full name as just a surname and indicated he had no first name. SCREW UPS...

based on DNT2003's list of APPROVED applicants (total 25), the average time it takes for status to change to "decision made" after PPR is 68 days. Median is 64 days (meaning half the applicants get it before 64 days and half after).

using average:
ppr date + 68 days = 'decision made' date

using median:
ppr date + 64 days = 'decision made' date

this includes both, interview and no-interview people. out of the 25 people, 21 people were approved in 2011 and 4 were approved in late 2010 (nov and dec). so data is pretty recent.

fastest was 'goodnews' at 11 days and slowest was 'rocky636' at 152 days.

not that these number mean much, but it gives us something to do while we wait.

@ nb8285

Yeah!!! Somebody else who can do stats.

I'm in love!

In my list of 34 people the average was

58 +- 7 days from PPR to Decision Made.

2 standard deviations would include nb8285's results.

Most of these people started there process in early 2010.

@Nylalisa,
Am glad that you could login..and thanks again for your advise and motivation :-)
I hope you get decision made this week :-)

Hi,

I'm living in Canada and sent my spouse app to Mississauga .. and I would like to apply for TRV for my spouse in India once I get step 1 cleared from CPC the Assessment of Sponsor.. can some one tell me if they experienced this situation and suggest how this options works??

i don't think that will work.
They have a red flag and they reject TRV's in such case.

Our application was also rejected for TRV, even though we included the sponsorship approval letter.

laxpei01 said:
what was the reason did the VO gave for the rejection of TRV and where did you apply ????

I think a better way might be to apply for TRV FIRST (takes 2 weeks or less) and then apply to sponsor. You might have a better chance that way.
