Pandas case got solved in 80 days and he got visa after 10 days from the date when he send passport........

though every case is different and time line ..... I would like to fall in that time line .................

Challenger i hope that we receive our passport by april 30 at the most ..that will compleate 80 days ........but in some cases it is as fast as 69 days so then our shiny visa should be with us by .......april 17th 2011..wow....... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

i totally agree....every case is different and every Visa Officer handles differently....so i guess we should not worry about e-cas but instead just stay positive

Wow i had a look at your file application dates and i just realized that NEW Delhi is the fastest Canadian visa office, only 4-5 months for the whole process. I'm not from India, I'm from Italy and i applied inland(within Canada) and the whole process takes between 11 and 18 months!!!!! Crazy!!!!

Inland is always more time consuming than any Visa Office out there, that is mostly because you are not having to stay away from your spouse while the application is being processed, so they treat it differently. Yes there are some restrictions for inland, but you don't have to be away from your spouse for however long processing takes.

While New Delhi is fast compared to some other offices, it sucks to be away from your spouse. If my wife would not have needed a visa to enter Canada, I would have had her come over first and then applied inland.

my wife has got file no. (Fxxxxxxxxx) and now she can access ecas with her details. can you access ecas with file no. if u can access, then I am sure you will receive letter very soon.

file no. is not creayed in ND, its created in Ottawa as soon as they load the scanned file.

I suggest u to take help of ur MP to locate ur file. Explain MP the situation and ask him to tell CIC to locate ur hard file.

They have to crea a file no. before loading scans to a database like GCMS.

File numbers are created by ND

Client numbers are assigned to the sponsored spouse by Ottawa.

You get both an F file number (maybe assigned by ottawa) and. a B one... dont know the difference but ND has the B number all over my husband's file and docs. The thing is thus part of the process is virtually unknown by ppl.

Honestly bugging the MP wont help, I can tell you from first hand experience they have given you more info then you normally would have obtained. Shitty thing is you are within your 6 months so your MP cant interfere and even then wht they can and cant do is limited. Basically wht tjey did is what they are allowed to do. They have no pull or influence over a govetnmental department.

@Frpince: so if its still in Ottawa, whats next for you........what are they gonna do??? Isn't ur Ecas status mentions that it has already been trsf to ND, then wats holding them back.......yaar you can never get wat these ND VO's are up to....they so diff for every and each cases huh !!!

Hey challenger

you can try speed post as it is reliable and also you can get all information when it received...... I was surprised to go in to ems speed post website and they have given minute by minute details of my package.....

it reached chc 3rd day .....................


I tried to send by courier but 2 companies declined to take passport ............
