Pretty Much sponsor Calls the Call Center in Canada.

They will ask for Sponsor Client ID, DOB, If she is PR or Canadian , and where she is born, and name of applicant which is person being sponsor.

Then she would ask for your Client ID and File Number. Make sure she states she wants the one that starts with a Letter (B). Other wise they will give you the wrong file number.

The one that Starts with B or F , but usually B is the one you need for CAIPS and to talk to embassay.

@ asurania...

if someone has a application number that start with letter F....does that matter? cuz i have read that some members on this forum have their application #'s that starts with letter F instead of B

thanks

Thanks for advising to call call-centre and get file number. I guess it will help.

@ fprince

if we have file number, we can send PP without receiving PPR ;)
may be they will start working on our file once they recive our PP.
the way ND works I am sure they will never be sure from their system if they sent us formal PPR or not....and out trick can work :)

I shall surely try to call CIC and try to get file number if I can.........

@ def_col_male

my understanding is that u have to send the pp or any docs to chc if they request u something with their letter cuz u have to send the copy of the letter as well to the embassy

thanks

well
i have it with F and i'm having one of the longets wait times.

ppl who applied 2 months after have got their passports.

It should be fine....we all still learning from our expereince....

@ waitingforwife

i wouldnt worry...as long as the timeline falls within the normal processing times...there is no need to worry....if it crosses over that...then u might have to look for other chanels to get the information...

i know the waiting game is hard....but that is the only way to meet the loved ones :)

if we all have our spirits i high hopes, and think that every morning will bring the good news for us...the waiting game will not overcome us :)

ppl whose applications are starting with letter F....may be CHC new delhi have any other way of processing them.... who knows.... letter B or F... doesnt matter to us...as long as things sail smooth....

good luck to u....

Make SURE the second you get the FILE NUMBER, you request the CAIPS NOTE

i used http://caipsnotes.com/index.shtml

Takes 4 to 5 weeks, but at lease you will have some insight on whats going, and are not blind.

It also gives you the date apprently when they willl look at your file, or what is the hold up on your file

Yes, we will call and ask for the file # BUT
don't send them a PP without a PPR...that creates more headache for you..
they send a letter in the PPR which has a barcode and that photocopy should go hand in hand with the PP..stay calm and lets first get the File #
:-)

Just to confirm, who calls ND?
Sponsor or applicant?

@ fprince...

i guess it is the applicant who called chc new delhi... reason being is that the file is in stage 2 processing...which is assessing the applicant's info...so my understanding is that principal applicant calls...
