God, I want visa now its been sooooooooooooo looooooooooonggggggg. want to see my husband. Of course, I want visas for every1 is this thread.. this thread is super cool!!!

Everyone should get their visa, i still feel sad that i am a PR and got married..cos if i was on work permit, the wait would have been less than 30 days and she would have got an dependent visa based on my expiry date....

funny that this morale of the story exists " Citizens/PR have to wait more than Work permit Holders to bring their spouse to Canada"

Thanks everyone. Unfortunately our application was on hold for a bit because we had to send them more pictures . We had gotten civilly married in July and applied in September. However, I had mentioned in the application that we were also going to have a church wedding on Jan 11, 2011. So they sent us a letter back in November asking us for pictures of the church wedding and post wedding outing (in order words honeymoon ). We were only able to send the pictures by Jan 25.

I was hoping to bring her back with me when I returned to Canada in early Feb, but I guess that was a long shot. On the bright side her parents/grandparents are happy that she will be with them for few more months .

Hello all - I am new here and was looking for a few answers. We are sponsoring a dependent child and we have already received approval for sponsorship in July 2010. The file for our child was received in New Delhi toward the end of December 2010 and as off today, it is still in the queue.

I realize the queue can be lengthy depending on applications received, but is it typical for the file to be in the queue for 2 months?

Seeing that this is a dependent child application, I don't beleive they will request an interview. Given that, does anyone know how long (on average) it would take to receive the PR?
