My confusion is this, it says

"payment of your right of permanent resident fee to our office in Mississauga by your sponsor in Canada, if not already paid".

You say, i can get a draft and send it, are you sure?

NO!! You cannot get a draft made here! RPRF Fee has to be paid by your sponsor in Canada.

Follow the link below:

The quickest way to get it done would be to pay online and print the receipt! Your sponsor can scan the doc and email you so that you can print it out and enclose it with you PP!

Link to pay online and other ways to pay:

Also go through the following thread reg. RPRF to make your life easier:

I absolutely love this forum. It is a gold mine for PR app. FAQs!!

Good Luck!

Thank you Xyrus,

You suggestions aligns well with mine. Do not want to take risks, I am calling these call center people, no body is picking it up, I m in the queue for some time already. Seems everything is Canada happens at a snails speed. Thought red tape in India was bad. Hmmm

I know! I hate it when ppl all over the world become so critical about everything Indian, foreign media, et al and ignore that things are equally bad, if not worse, from where they come from!

Sorry, didn't mean to go off topic!!

Good Luck for next week guys! BTW, CHC ND is open on Monday! Most of the institutions are closed in Canada due to Thanksgiving, I was not sure if the embassy would be open but it is not listed in their holiday schedule here:

Good for us!

Thank you Xyrus!
You make people smile when they are in pain

Thanks Bharath! I can't seem to overcome this pain now! Been too long for me! But regardless, there's no choice...

Hopefully in the coming week....

Okay,

Called Canadian help line, they said,
"Pay online, print your receipt and send it to Mississauga" (I am the sponsor), My wife will be sending the passport to New Delhi.

So things have been cleared.
Thank you Xyrus for everything and do not lose hope, hope is all we have at the moment.

Cheers,
Bharath

Hi Guys,
I have a question.
My hubby is in india and i am in canada. You can look at my timeline below. Now, our parents were not at the wedding as they were against it. They have no idea about us getting married. Only our close friends attended the wedding. We have explained our case in our application well.

He received the ppr request on oct 06 and he just sent the passport by courier today. Should reach CPC ND by monday. I want to know how it goes from here. HOw long is the wait, what to expect? Does an officer come to your home or what? Im scared....please help? We dont want anyone at his place to know about the marriage at all.

Hey there!

We got married in a civil ceremony in Canada where our families were not present, so I think they review your application in "entirety" to conclude if your relationship is genuine. Getting PPR is a good sign, however, be prepared to still be asked for an interview or additional docs!

Rest assure, no VO or representative from CHC ND will not knock of your door (with a clipboard) and check/announce your guy's wedding! ;D After this point, if everything flows smoothly, you can expect a your PP returned within 4-4 weeks or longer!

Good luck!

I would be very happy if they came to visit to ask any additional questions to save my better half the trip to Delhi....lol. But it seems that is to much to ask for!

Our file was received in Delhi Sept 3, and we are apparently waiting for our interview to be scheduled. In the interim we have supplied the additional docs that they asked for. So I think it is a little backlogged at the moment :( Still holding out a faint hope that we will have Christmas together :)

Good luck to you guys. I'm sure his family will be fine when they find out. All will be good.

Hi Guys,
:( I got a letter from Canadian Embassy asking more photos of Wedding ceremony. :(
We already send them more than 35 photos but why they asking for more...
I'm scared....

Just make sure you send in every part of your ceremony and reception. Dont worry about it. If there was a doubt I think they would have asked you for an interview. Some people I have seen here get asked for extra info and never get asked for interview. So just relax and gather up as much photos as you can :)

I personally think 35 will not suffice! The good news is that's all you have been requested to provide....I would muster up every pic of you and your sponsor....absolutely ANYTHING, and send it over!

Good luck and dont worry, u could have been asked to attend an interview, now, you know the nature of the beast...at the least!

Good luck!

Thanks guys for encouraging,
but feeling very low...
They have mentioned that they need specially for Dholi (Bride's farewell) pics with some others photos.
I'll sending it on monday.
Wish me luck....
I'm going to send around 45 Pics... including reception and after marriage also...
Hope 45 to 50 is enough or should I send It more?
