My husband and I have a moto.. Anything worth having is worth fighting for. We dont believe in giving up ( goog thing huh?) lol. When things get tough, you dig your heals in and plough a head. There are moments when we feel so discouraged, but then we think of what we have. Its worth more than any inconvenience we have to go through now. Next year when we celebrate our 3 wedding anniversay ( our first one together)we can look back at these last few years and smile knowing we did everything we could to be together. No regrets

Hello Guys,

My name is Bharath and have applied for spousal immigration. Here is the processing outline
Sponsorship applied : 14th, august, 2010
Mississauga received : 16th august 2010
Sponsorshop approved: 14 Sept 2010
File sent to Delhi : 14 Sept 2010.

Its been 22 days so far and we have neither seen any change in the ecas nor have received any letter asking for passport? Is this normal?

yes its very normal.. its usually a month once it arrives in delhi before they start processing your file. Give or take a few days. You should hear something in a couple of weeks, by the end of the month for use..

hoping to get some news this week or the next. One more question, does the ecas change to 'in process' before you get ppr?

Yes it does. Not always are they fast on updating ecas. For me mine has said in process since June 11th. Doesnt say medicals received and the medicals have been there for 2 months.

For the most part, they usually change your ecas to in process once they open your file in delhi and it should tell you the date when they started to process it.

My wife has applied for me to join her in Canada as I live in India.
My case started process in New Delhi office on the 2nd December 2009. My medical is due to finish on the 18th October 2010. We have contacted the cic office a few time through her local m.p. Each time we get a different reply. The first we are waiting for background and the last was we will contact the applicant.

My medical is due to expiry on the 18th October 2010 what are the chances that my visa will be issued before that?

I have heard that some people get their visa for only 3 to 4 days to leave India this is because their medical is going to finish.

Also after my medical finish do the cic post back my passport?

Do you think I should contact cic (not use my wife local m.p ) a couple weeks after my medical finish will make any differents.

Jason: I think you should definitely email or submit a case specific enquiry online immediately explaining them your medical expiry situation! It would be crazy to plan to leave within 3-4 days time just because your medicals are going to expire.

Is there any specific reason why it has been taking them so long to issue you the visa? What kind of communication have you received so far since your case processing started @ ND, i.e., additional doc. or interview? Could you please share your complete timeline. Thanks and Good Luck!

Welcome Bharath - Here's wishing you speedy PR approval! My eCAS changed to "In Process" on July 13th and stated "We started processing your app. on July 7th". I received PPR on July 21st, File Transfer - June 18th. Good Luck!

i think chc new delhi is getting slow may be due to CWG.................anyways guys my sponsorship approved on 4oct as i today saw on ecas decision made hopefully positive.......

I dont think the games are causing delays. I think if there is any delays its due to back log of files unrelated to the cwg. When you think of the volume of applications that they must get and have to go through, and the appealed cases, I am sure the games have no part of the delays. If the games were to cause delays, it would be a disasterous. The delays I am sure would be a couple of months atleast.

Just my thoughts only.

The PPR letter was dated July 8th but was delivered to me by ordinary post on July 21st! PP was delivered to CHC ND by courier the next day. Good Luck!

Xyrus My case was reached new Delhi on the 2nd December 2009 since then it has been in process. I revecived a letter asking for my passport in mid December 2009.

My wife has asked her local m.p (in Canada) to email them 4 times. Once the m.p told us they are doing background checks and second we will contact you if we need and doucments. We have no had intereview.

The only documents i have send in is when i got a phone call ask me if i have been involved in a court case. I said no and I send a letter from the courts saying I had a clean record.

Do you know how long a background check takes????


And what should I do now.

My medical expires on the 16th OCTOBER 2010.

I think I should email but my wife said that m.p should email and it looks better!!!!!!!!! :-[
