Hey everyone!

Lots of new people here, good luck to all!! @Xyrus - did they answer your email yet? Its been over a week now...man, I say we make a trip down to Shantipath and ask them whats up...LOL :P 8)

LOL, U BET! but no word at all to my email sent last Tuesday! No news is definitely NOT good news anymore for us!

But Im positive my wife will hear something soon from the MPs office as they made an enquiry on my case status last Tuesday too and told her that they'll get back in 10 days. So maybe end of this week?

Speaking of making a trip to CHC, I actually went to the embassy in December last yr as I recd. additional doc. request on the 30th day (per letter date) by ordinary mail and it was stated in the letter to revert in 30 days!! We panicked and rushed to the embassy the next day but were not allowed to meet our Visa Officer. Though the guy at the front reception told us not to worry as they acknowledge mail delays here and we could take another 2-3 weeks to revert.

Good Luck all.

21 days still no ppr , I can't even imagine what you guys are going through, I am getting burned out just waiting for my wife's ppr. I haven't seen anyone wait so long just for a ppr.

hey KAL .. my sponsorship got approved on 03Aug2010 and received PPR on 27Aug2010 dated 20thAug2010 ...
as per ur calculation it took 24days for me to get my PPR .. u have to consider postal delays too ..

don't get tensed for ur PPR ... if u feel so tensed for PPR now then u'll feel like running away while waiting for visa after PPR ... so all u hv to do nw is wait wait and wait ....

for u not neven 2weeks got completed since sponsorship approval .. don't consider only cases where the timeline is very minimal .. u hv to consider longer timeline cases too ...

so dont worry buddy .. u'll get ur PPR either by end of ths week r by next week ...
just relax and be happy yaar .... ;) ;) ;) ;)

Thanks chinthu , I just looked at your timeline and noticed nd started processing your file on the 20th so you pretty much got your ppr in 7 days from nd began processing , well for me nd began processing my wifes application on the 16th of sep and its been 3 weeks , if you look at when my wifes file got transferred to nd its been 44 days since then and no ppr thats whats getting to me and I guess its getting to me also because there is just no way of tracking it , I think I would be able to take the next wait coz you have a bit of a sense of security that the passport gets returned in a registered mail , I guess a couple of words of advice is all one needs once in a while . Thanks feel a bit better now.

As i said in my msg to you kal, don't worry pal we are in the exact same boat. I have no clue what's taking so long for us.
On the bright side, at least we have each other and all other folks in this forum to talk to. Just imagine not having anyone to talk about this process.... Now that would be real torture. If my spouse doesn't get the visa by mid November, I'm considering visiting her. *fingers crossed*

Good luck to all.

I agree with you spsponsor. We all know every case is different, but atleast we can get a feel of where our cases are at in the process. If I didnt have this site to get atleast an approximate idea I think I would be crazy by now.

I totally agree with every1. If not this forum, I would have been so upset missing my sponsor. We managed to submit our appln only on Sep 1st and sponsorship is approved on Sep 27th. I was hoping to get PPR in a month, like october end. But seeing all ur cases, it looks like it might take more than that. :(
But yours is all st forward cases only right? i THOT it l get delayed oly in divorse or children cases.

I went through an appeal. I am divorced also and have kids. My husband was given a date for his interview along with ppr. A couple of weeks later they asked for divorce documents and things.

If you were approved on the 27th of sept I think you can expect to get a letter from them the end of Oct, firs week of Nov. Remember if there is back log it could take a bit longer. Dont worry about it even if you have to have an interview, just prepare well and speak with confidence. :)

hmm ok >:( I really hope I get PPR this month end. am really upset on waiting to join my husband. Its been already 4 and half months since we got married. When all my friends go to US in dependent visa as soon as they get married, I kinda feel very bad :(

Ok you gotta pack some patience, your file was transferred barely 10 working days ago...it takes them under 1 month (as per policy) to open and work on your file...PPR letter is usually dated for the following day (not a given)...so, you can do the math...your month-end estimate is still valid! Good luck!

My bad, you should be getting PPR in mail by now...its been over a month...consider the postal delays too!

I can understand how you feel.. I have been married for two years and its been a year since I seen my husband. It will be two years since we applied and then had to go through appeal do to a racist VO. but as was stated you just started. With immigration you just have to bide your time and do as requested and just hope that things good smooth for you. I feel bad about your wait but you just applied your going to need a bit more patience. sorry
It says under your name that your file was transfered on Sept 27 to delhi. Is that correct? then its not even been a month yet from the time your file was transferred.

No ur right. Its just been 10days since they transferred the file. So they l take another 10 - 15days to open the file itself.

And yeah, I have to be patient. I understand we cant do anything abt it. But it just frustrates sometime, when u think that u cant be with ur spouse after marriage. Best is, shudnt think of it too much and concentrate on our jobs :)

Boyee.. why was your application rejected?
