hi friends
whenever i choose the option of receipt number(3rd number) on the ecase for seeing my status & put the detail of that receipt which is the proof of the payment of $ 1040 of my case starts from B..........,it does not show anything , what does it mean can anybody pls tell .....

It doesn't work for me either, I don't think they update receipt #s. I just use file #/ husbands last name to check for updates.

hi there i went to nd couple of dayd back but they told me u cant enter in it and there is no way to inquire about application the only way to contact vo is email

Well they called and said that the phone call was the confirmation. They made me fill out a form when I when I went there, and within 45 mins I got my passport. I think they only allow people to come in if they have either interview or collect passport. Other than that they wont let you go in at all.

Receipt # doesnt work for me either....Can I please ask why does it matter? The UCI and the file number works for me so what's the big deal....

Receipt number still doesn't work for me. Application # now works, and I recently got the sponsorship approval.

For both Receipt # and Application #, are you using the sponsored person's last name and details to login to ecas?

I don't think this has much meaning right now, as it seems, many people can't log in using the receipt # either.

We have seen n heard statuses being updated often on weekends. So keep checking. I couldn't believe my eyes. My husband woke me up with the great news and I just had to double check online!

Thank you all for your support. My timeline - applied on dec 12 2011, file transferred to ND on feb 2, PPR on feb 15, PP sent on march 5. Ever since the status was "application received". Changed to decision made on July 22. No interview request. Waiting for the PP now

Lalatata - i wil keep yoy posted about my application progress.

Do you know tht do they check birth certificate on landing? I have my dob in all documents like passpost, election card, pan card etc. Actually your dob on 10 class certificate is considered as your official don. So we dont require birth certificate. Pls advise if there is any problem if i dont have birth certificate and instead have 10th class passing certificate?

Usually passport takes 4-5 days time. They send by speedpost. Enjoy!
