Ashunandal - we contacted our MP n got a reply that our application is for final review.


Lalatata - do you have any idea how much time does ND take for final review?

I don't know when you first inquire with your MP and got told your application is in final review but if I was you, I would check again with your MP. In my case I waited 3 weeks before contacting the MP again and we got the visa approved after that! All the best and hope you'll get it very soon! It would be about time!

My wife's ECAS changed to DM today, will update when she receives her passport.

My husband just received his passport back. There was a letter confirming his granted PR and the pictures we sent with the application.

So I think I figured whats up with CIC ND .. They were bombarded with Jan applicants, they wrap most of them up.. instead of moving forward to FEb applicants (whos PP are with them and finalizing) they actually went back to Oct,Nov,Dec applicants and wrapping up the cases they left behind!

These folks from Nov-Dec have been waiting forever and its not fair to them specially when most of other applicants from there months are DONE.

So overall I think ND realizes that they need to wrap the left overs from previous months and its just a little unfortunate that the Feb,March folks are the one again getting the heat just like we got it from Jan folks (high numbers) to get the step one approvals..

I thinks its only fair that ND wrap up as many as they can the applications from before Jan and then move forward and resume from Feb

Now when that happens only god know! My key would be SBDELHI . When he gets his approval, i think that would be the time ND might move back to Feb.. till thn I can see more wait!

Then again.. its just me! lol and who I am to say it for sure! lol

For anyone who is to go to ND, I reached there around 8:15, and when i got out of the office around 9:45, they were telling all the others who arrived after 9:30 to come back after 3:00pm, so make sure you get there early.

I sure hope you get your DM soon as well. You've been waiting for a long time as well. Good luck. I know how frustrating it can be. I used to get so frustrated to see people who applied after us getting their visa even though I was happy for them. Just need to be a bit more patient to see the passport arrive.

Lucky u! Really happy for you we have the same timeline as u. Applied on Dec 12 file was transferred on Feb 12 and ppr was Feb end. Since then it's been app received on ecas. Contacted our local mp last week and were told they have started working on our file now they r doing background checks and our process should be completed in mid-end of September! I was hoping my husband will be back by end of august as our anniversary is on 9 Sept but that won't happen now, it's so unfortunate

This may not comfort you but maybe you'll jump straight to DM any day now... look at canwifesponsor - her ecas never showed DM and she has the passport in hand already. Really hope to hear good news from you soon.

So tired of this waiting game. Applied in December and now the mp says it will b done September end! My husband lived in Canada for 8 years and left for India in Feb when they asked for the passport

Do you know tht do they check birth certificate on landing? I have my dob in all documents like passpost, election card, pan card etc. Actually your dob on 10 class certificate is considered as your official don. So we dont require birth certificate. Pls advise if there is any problem if i dont have birth certificate and instead have 10th class passing certificate?

Would you be able to put the notes , take out the personal information and share with us.. Just wanted to see how they look. I requested mine yesterday.

i dont know reallt how to share a doc. here ??? ??? but i remember someone did share their notes before few days.
BTW its a 36 pages pdf file and officer's notes starts from page 28, s/he made 5-6 notes (first 28 pages are waste of time and papers no information)
1.wrote our story from first day,engagement, marriage, trips, reception, family members etc. and said couple appears compatible in age, education, marital status and language.
2.tourist visa rejection for canada before filled spousal application and sponsor is living outside of canada
3,4 and 5.- some small mistakes
