@ Kuku

Hehehehe, dont worry, our ship is just behind yours..I'm estimating the time in such a way that if you get "in process" soon, I'll wait for max. 2 weeks and we'll get the same...LOL

It takes about a month from PPR most of the time, to receive DM, so enjoy the holidays!!

Timeline is in the spreadsheet under singhson. Quick summary app reached nd may 18, started processing may 30, medical results received update on June 20th and since then no correspondence. There was one erroneous letter she got asking to send in the passport, however the deadline to send in the passport and the letter itself was dated the same day, so I had to ask my MP to get involved. And they confirmed they have the passport which she sent when she first got the initial letter, the generic one everyone gets, pay the fees, send passport, police report etc etc

@yug I checked the status as per India time 3am.

That's a nice idea. Can't resist to check Ecas once or twice a day even if I know, it is not possible ti get some thing before a month or so.

I do not see any reason why you can't do that. Get medical forms from the web site. Set up an appointment with yuor DMP. Explain him/her your situation and re do your medical. There is an option to write your file number on those forms too.

you can attach your letter with the medical copy that you have to submit to CHC. I do not think there should be any problem with that. I fact you wll save almost a month by doing that.

@ yug:

Why don't you call and ask ND and tell them it's expiring, should you go ahead and redo them?

Or better yet, call up the DMP's clinic and tell them your situation, if you can redo it, most of the time, they know.

MP means Member of Parliament. Every area has its own MP in Canada. The sponsor needs to contact them after your 6 months at ND are over. They will get information for you and let you know the delay in your case. CIC is obliged to give them access to your case when they ask. However, they cant really expedite your case, but yeah they are useful to find out more info for you.

DMP is "Designated Medical Practitioner", practitioners which are listed on the CIC website. That's where you go for your Medicals and Re-meds.
