Is anyone on board trying to log in to Ecas at this time ??

Mine is not working..seems to have gone down!!!

yes i tried its not working...
neways no point of checking ECAS, this ND not updating anything these days i don't know wht tthey doing??????

I checked half an hour ago, it was working fine..now it isn't..they usually update it every Tuesdays/Wednesdays, maybe that's what they're doing right now.

What do they tell you when you give them a call? Do they give any answer by any chance as you are beyond the normal processing time?

There was this one case I know of (my hubby's friend's mum), their medicals were about to expire (3 weeks) and they called them up 12 days before expiry and told them to pick up the visas and fly to Canada right away, otherwise, they have to redo the medicals..so i dont know what they'll do in your case

If ever it does expire and you don't hear anything from them, I'm sure they'll send you a letter to get it done again.

If you're lucky enough, they might just call you then!

as much i know they jst gonna say me to do medical again+ then they gonna waste time like 2months in that medical....

but i called in canada n they said once file been transfer to visa office, we need to contact them...
now u can say where to call if person not to be pissed off then wat?????????

wife's status changed to DM

Hi guys
this morning (Dec 13) noticed the status changed to DM. so let's see how long before the visa comes in the mail. Interesting thing is I submitted the online inquiry form on Dec 1 and got the generic response on Dec 11th that its in queue for final review and today I see the status updated.

Since August my buddy whose an MP asked for regular updates but there wasn't anything he could do until the 6 months passed, so we decided that if nothing happens in December than his office will do an indepth inquiry in January.
But with all the changes to the rules in may along with other changes to cic my wife and I knew it would take pretty close to 6 months. Looks like all together it took almost 7 months.

Now I need to find tickets to India,, I was just there 6 Weeks ago.

I was wondering if you can go ahead and re do medical, just to be on safe side. So that if by any chance they extend your case beyond your medical expiry( chances of which is less I believe), then you can save time. I am not sure if one can re do the medical until the previous one expires.

that wht i mean to say that i can't even to medical again until they say me to do...
its more than 7months m file has been with ND,,,,

I know you have all reasons to get pissed off.

How about just getting the medical done and mentioning your file number on it along with a separate sheet explaining your situation and why you are re doing it. It might save hell lot of time, rather then waiting for them to mail you a letter ( which could take 7-15 days or even more) and a week or more there after during which you will book an appointment and return that copy to them.

I wish what maple said about some one comes true for you too and who knows , after 2 weeks you might be writing on the same thread sitting here in Canada.

I agree with Kuku, why not get medicals done again and send them a letter saying since it's expiring,here are the fresh ones..who knows, they might just "wake up" from sleeping on your file.

But then, the fall back would be, the DMP would ask if you got any letter from the embassy
