What are the chances of being called for an interview after PPR?

hELLO eVERY ONE,

Please tell after how many days, CPC-M mails letter to sponsor about approval?
My sponsor called call centre but no one answers (all agents were busy) and my sponsor dissconnected the phn after 15 minutes of wait.
Is there any shorcuts that allows us to talk to an agent directly (without waiting)?

Generally it takes around 10 days to get the mail letter.

You need to have patience while calling the CIC. Consider yourself lucky if you get connected in 15 mintues. Many ppl wait for an hour or so to get to an agent. As far as I know there are no other alternative.

Thanks Kannadiga.

Come on ND People!!! Where are the visas guys??? Yug, Gwalyat??

looks like everybody is going through "in-depth background check investigation" which may take much longer than expected. Even CHC or anyone have any idea how long its gonna take, since its done by third party agencies. So expect processing time increased from 6 months to about 8-12 months for most of applicants. If anyone get before 8 months, they are extremely lucky.

So, dont hold your breath, just relax, dont stress out abot this.

Cheers!

I heard from somewhere that they ( and for that matter any third party) can't keep anyone's passport for more than 2-3 weeks.. I don't know if this rule is true.. But looking at CHC work system, I can't say its true.

I heard the same too. Its usually 10 to 15 business days.

I am not about my answer. After reading through the forum, I find that for some people, they have called for interview after PPR only. This is strange because, couple of my friends who have applied for Canadian VISA in other categories like TRV, student Visa were asked to come for an interview first and then for PPR.

I think there is slim possibility of getting interview if your PP was requested at the end of process. If they requested at very early stage even before initial review, they might arrange an interview to clear some doubts. Lets hope we all get it through ND with no hassle. :)

I am really hoping to see some good news from senior members in this month.... ND is just pushing our limits...

I agree with Kannadiga regarding the time for receiving the mail. Regarding talking to call center agents, my suggestion would be to call them around 8:00 AM in the morning, right after they start work. I called them a couple of times around 8:00 and had to wait only for 10-15 min both the times.

Can we apply for visitor visa also?? if ND does work like this, then i think they should allow us to meet our spouses. i dont know what are the main reasons of delays but i really want a suggestion from u guys, Can I apply visitor visa??

@nancy

One can definitely apply for the Visitors Visa, but chances are minimal having to consider ongoing PR process. What I personally believe is, there is nothing wrong in giving it a try, if you can afford to gamble worth $150. There is nothing more to loose if denied and a lot to gain if approved. :)

btwn did they tell you anything why is it taking too long for you? Any communication with CHC or MP?

They told me on nov 10, that ur application is currently pending to review by visa officer, i dont know when they are going to review this. i started loosing hope now. i dont know how much time it would take now? thats y i m asking this question. i really wanna to go on this christmas. what to do yaar?

well i wud say if they ask ur pp after sm time n ur ecase is saying in process, med received then there is no chance of interview but if they ask u for ur pp early then more chances for interview specially if ur ecase is saying just application received(if its in process then very less chances i havent seen any)
