Hello,

I'm new in this forum, want some suggetions from u guys:

As i married to a Canadian PR this year and ready to mail our file this week.
I want to know that at the time of our marriage, my father who is in UK couln't come to attend it because he is not PR/Citizen in the UK.
Kindly tell if there 'll be any problem with our case as my father was not present at the marriage (my mom and all other relatives and friends were there)
also parents of my spouse were there.

Need Suggestions.

Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome to the thread! :)
I dont think that not having your father at the wedding would be a huge deal. Maybe you can mention a note stating the reasons he could not make it. As long as you have had a traditional wedding witht the full knowledge of your family and friends, I dont think CHC-ND should view that as a problem. I hope you are submitting other major proof such as photos, after-wedding pics, chat records, phone records, marriage bills, money reciepts etc.

All the best! :)

Hi Shamsia ,
Thanks for d reply,
Yes i'm submitting photos of our wedding (approx 150), honeymoon pics, marriage bill, marriage cards, hotel bills etc but not submitting any chat records or phone bills because my wife left for canada 15 days back on 16th November and we lived together after our marriage so i have no record of chat and phone bills because we lived together. Kindly tell what do u mean by money reciepts?

If you have any communication records from before the marriage that should help. In fact, any kind of communication from the first time you met to the present time. The bottomline while preparing an application is that, your relationship should read like a story in an organized and choronological manner. It definitely helps if the evidences put together nicely and are not haphazard :)

By money receipts I meant the Western Union reciepts and stuff like that the husband would send to his wife - it adds to the genuineness of the relationship. But if its not applicable to your case, dont worry about it. :)

I am a PR, My wife's father and mother separated a long time ago but legally not divorced.
He is not part of her life and did not come. He is not in the pictures.

I have not mentioned it anywhere, if they ask we will tell!
I thought it is not a big deal since it is a arranged marriage and we had 100s of relatives on photos

ohk. Got it. I thought CAIPS notes will show in detail where exactly is the hold up on your file..
There is no meaning of ordering it if it give no information.

Btwn do you have any idea whether ordering CAIPS note has any adverse effect on processing time of our file??

just hang in there bro...I can understand your situation and there isn't much you can do since it's between ND and other local and international agencies. As long as your record is clear and you have stayed legally in other countries, you shouldn't worry. Just relax and hopefully you will see your shinning visa by the end of dec :D
Good luck and keep us update.

@gwalyat

Yeah no option but wait. hang in there. stay in touch with ND office.

and remember one thing. Everything happens for a reason and there is something in store for you that is making you wait longer.
