@ pandapenda:

If your sponsorship is already approved, you would have received a file number in your approval letter beginning with F and 9 digits.

You can check your application status with that

i still hate it except for holidays.... :P

but what is this lawyer talking about then...saying ND will send a new file # when they start processing the file and we send the missing docs to that file #...the thing is we have to send PCC so need to be careful that it doesnt get lost cause they r a headache to get

@ pandapenda

In addition, when your spouse receives a letter from the VO, he will be provided with a file number starting with B. He is able to use that to log in as well. I think after some point, we are not able to use the F file number since a B has been assigned.

that's y me and my hubby decided i must stay on in vanc so that atleast 1 of us is stable and settled when the other just lands :-[

tough decisions

@ mapledreams

haha cool :D my lawyer says ND gives a new file # so now just waiting for a file # from ND to send the missing info....

Its ok, I can handle cold, Its hard to handle the heat in summer. The AC was on 24/7 in summer here at home, in office and in car. I dont mind snow, its the slush which creates the problem. On weekend we just go on blind drive, just sit in the vehicle and start driving, doesnt matter where we go, just explore the beautiful british columbia. Its fun!

acchaa so now that makes more sense...that's probably the no. my lawyer is waiting for...thanks mapledreams

When I received my letter and request for documents from ND, they gave a B number file, also, they sent bunch of stickers with file number and bar code. I used those on everything I sent back. So waiut for the letter and other information.

ok so hambzik...u officially nailed the nail on its head ;) gr8...so i won't pester my lawyer anymore thank you....

btwn sounds awesome...i am just waiting to make those trips w my hubby BUT we will do it only in good weather :P

@ Pandapenda

Hambzik's right, he'll receive bar coded stickers and make sure to use it for any further communication to the VO since they just scan it and tadaaaaaaa, our files come up on their computers =)

Are you from west or east coast?

Oh ok, I found out when I called CIC's call centre and that's when this lady told me it was approved on Oct. 28 and sent out to ND the same day.

After that, no changes on ecas and my hubs didn't get any letter/call just as yet for PPR. And it does not say "medicals received' anywhere on ecas.

I really don't rely on ecas that much so I just sorta eyeball the time of each step in the process.

Its sent from CPC Mis. however, it will take a month or so, if you are lucky to reach ND and they actually update the ecas. It took two and half months for my file to reach ND and about three months before they informed me.

Yes, you are right. We have no choice but to wait *sigh*. :( And then my PPR decides to go and get lost *double sigh*.

But you know what? We can wait happy or wait frustrated, either way it's gonna get me that visa when it's destined. I choose happy ;)
