Thanks everyone for making this place warm like our home country..lol....Healthy debate is always good as long as there are no hard feelings... We are all here for the same purpose so let's not call each other's names. Everyone has a right to express their opinions and this thread is open for all kind of views. People can love canadian gov if they want to and they can hate if they want to.. ;D

We all know that system is not perfect and it's causing lot of grief to people on both sides of world. :'(

I think calling "names" in Canada is allowed even though not excepted. I am not sure (unlike in India where the next day goondas will show up)
like last week a minister publicly said "F....k you" in twitter!

only slander is not allowed, I do not know the meaning of slander.


SO far I have seen many people like me in Canada. (not my country men, they all are "shake, shake" your heads type)
So if you come to Canada prepared to meet one or two like me. (they might be more polite then me)

Wanted to know but the only communication that I have received from Canadian immi is that I am sponsor approved but when do I find out that ND has actaully received my package??

I am sure the process of file transfer to ND is fast now. Our appeal was allowed in starting of June and the file reached ND in August third week. I can correlate this to Postal Strike in Canada in June. I also heard, not sure though, that Appeal Board files are transferred to ND twice a month only, so again, not sure if this is same for CIC Mis. I miss the snow, and Driving my 4x4 in Snow on the mountains, its risky but I loive it. Hopefully be there soon.

Agree completely but I have a question guys...how do you know when your file has been trfered to ND?????????? do they send out an AOR? What is that? and when can I expect one for ND and how email or mail????

ND doesn't send out AOR as per their website. so I guess there is no way to know if our file has reached their pile.
" Please note that we do not send an Acknowledgement of Receipt for sponsored spouse, partner, and child applications, given that they are processed very quickly."

Your best bet would be to try out the F file number you got plus your spouse's info (person being sponsored) or alternatively, the UCI number and your info, under Application Received tab

If it doesn't say anything yet, that means it's there at the VO already, but haven't gotten to it yet

when i log on ecas for the applicant it says received xx xx which is actually the date that it was received in Missi!! so y does ND say the same thing. it also says medical results received...

so does that mean they have started processing????

we need to send in additional documents and the lawyer is saying not until ND issues a file #...which is y I'm getting all antsy...and then all this BFD stuff lol...its ok i will relax

I am not sure which country you are from if not India. I wont say that working standards in India are better or Canada. I have worked in India for over 10 years and then in Canada for over 9 years.

I had mix experinece everywhere.

Anyways, about the intentions. What you think Siva, would they have given the immigration after 7 years if there intentions were not right?

Yes West Coast, If I was there this week, I would have been driving to Kamloops coming weekend. It seems like its gonna be bad winter season this year. Just like 2007 ?? Already snow in Lowermainland twice until now.

Oh ok, I found out when I called CIC's call centre and that's when this lady told me it was approved on Oct. 28 and sent out to ND the same day.

After that, no changes on ecas and my hubs didn't get any letter/call just as yet for PPR. And it does not say "medicals received' anywhere on ecas.

I really don't rely on ecas that much so I just sorta eyeball the time of each step in the process.

I dislike snow! I only like it when it snows during and on Christmas (holidays) cos I don't have to go to work, LOL

ya very cold...ya snowed a couple of times..i am quite shocked for NOVEMBER it usually just rains non-stop....must b tough being uprooted from your home like that and going to have to go through the whole transition and resettling phase again...

that's y me and my hubby decided i must stay on in vanc so that atleast 1 of us is stable and settled when the other just lands :-[

hahahah! I can understand why you dont like snow. Clearing 4'-5' of snow 3-4 times a week is a lot of work. LOL.... The maximum snow I experineced on west cost was about 20" only once in 9 years. Mostly the snow is cleard in less than 4-5 days. So I dont mind snow.
