well...in my opinion....i think...15-25 should suffice...again...it depends up on the individual what they think...

I remember telling you a month before that you should not be doing that and are risking it.
They tell you clearly DO NOT SEND ANY ORIGINALS unless requested other than PCC and Medicals.
They have no obligation to return it as they don expect to receive originals, contact them or get one from your Registrar.
You need a original anyhow..and if they ask for this document during landing, you are in little trouble.

No update for me as well. They have my passport for 4 weeks now.

You are almost there. You will get the passport anytime. 3 months is a long time for them to hold the passport.

Thanks for the info. I did not know that they need the original marriage certificate when landing. I have to take it with me when I go to India to bring her.

But before that I have to cross the big mountain of "Patience with New Delhi"

Hey everyone..just wanted to let you all know that today e-Cas updated to "Decision Made". I've been waiting for almost 7 months since I started the process for my wife, although its been about 2.5 months my wife actually sent her passport in to the ND office. Best of luck of everyone else!

That's amazing.. didn't even take 70 days in total for the whole process... thats amazing.. they will never follow the FCFS policy.. its what comes to their mind... is what they will do...

There is no first come first serve policy. It's only on pen and paper.

I read this following case where a person filed on 10th March 2011 and got the passport with visa on 25th May 2011.

That's just great.. and you maybe right.. at work who I say "aunt" and she is from Chandigardh, her daughter in law applied after me.. March 29, approved by April end... and they've got the PPR recently.. its fast because her son got married way after me.. so yes PUNJAB again.... so now I WANT TO BE FROM PUNJAB.. I mean I want my wife to be from PUNJAB.. (she is the applicant)

Hello everyone, congrats to those who have got the visa. I have noticed one thing that people from Punjab get their VISA stamped within 3 months from date of application. How many people are from punjab?

I know what you are going through.... the paint of un-predicatable new delhi strikes again... why they hold on to our passports for so long and shows no activity for the time being... 3 months is a lot.. maybe you need to remind them by sending in a CSE.. I'd try it
