Ecas updated - Decision Made! Hoping its the good news we've been waiting for!

Hi All,

My husband in Canada received a letter which says that my processing was started on 1st May and the delay is because of the reason that they received the landing fees late.

There are so many things to wonder
- As per ECAS my processing started on 18th April and as per the letter they started processing on 1st May.
- 1st May was Sunday.
- My husband paid the landing fees online on 4th April and sent a copy of the receipt to CIC.It took so long for them to receive the fees. I had also sent a copy of receipt with the passport.

Atleast we received some communication from them.

All of the above can happen, paying landing fees later will delay your file by 30-60 days. And confirmation for payment from chc nd can take 3-4 weeks.
Don stress too much abt the dates, its BS. My ecas said in process from feb 15 when they did not get my physical file till march.
Good thing is your case is moving without any delays.

I could see that we filed our app at almost the same time.. my file was rcvd in ND on 18 may'11 .. but ecas says we received null my name application for PR on 18 may.. I am worried about the word null... do u have any clue what it means???
I would appreciate ur reply..

I think, if u dont have a sirname (last name) they normally use null before ur given name.

Just a FYI
i did go to my MP office for them to do a Status Update (took a week)
THey got back to me on friday saying they don't have a descion yet
Saterday night at Midnight(sunday Morning) - ECAS changed to "IN Progress:
Sunday night (monday Morning) - ECAS Changed to "Descion Made"

I went in person. You will pretty much talk to the MP assistance, who will make you feel out a form. Take your and your husband/wife client and file number. You will also need to show your ID with your address in that riding.

But short answear go in person prepared
