if it takes a long time for them to receive the original file then how is that some people are asked more more docs( more proof etc..) after abt a mnth of the file transf date???
and a lot of people who filed after you have even got the visa...so..they just kept your file in Ottawa and sent the others? Doesn't make any sense!! Something doesn't sound right here!!!

Update - So i called the MP's office and she told me that she received an email from CHC. I don't know if what she told me was standard reply as it confused the hell outta me. But she claims that a lot of applicants go through this delay, but this is the first instance i am hearing about this. Maybe @ nylalisa can comment more on what i heard

Application was approved by CPC Miss and will be sent to Ottawa.
Ottawa scans and sends the electronic copy to CHC ND, this is the ecas app received date
In my case the files are still in Ottawa as they send it to Delhi through Diplomatic post and it can take a long time
Delhi can not finalize anything unless they receive the original file from Ottawa but can start working on it electronically

I told her that it has been 3 months in Ottawa now and how come it didn't get to delhi yet? and she says, its normal and most ppl go through this ?????? no idea

So i am confused as f##K
Should i contact CPC Mississauga and ask them if they sent the file?

CPC Mississauga will tell your file has been already transfer. I am still confused with this.... y file is still in Ottawa when they approved sponsorship and everything is alright....cant believe this.

@ BRIN - Yes, that is what she said. She said ND can ask for documents, PPR ect with the electronic files but can only make the final decision when they receive the files.
To your point , like i always feared that my file is sitting somewhere and this case it is not in CHC ND but Ottawa as she claims.
This could explain why for a very few people it gets delayed a lot, could be a valid answer or just some immigration 101 crap she gave me.
She sent me the email from ND confirming that they received intimation that my sponsorship is approved but they are still waiting for the file to reach ND physically.

" Our records show that, in this case, we have received notification from CPC Mississauga that the sponsorship has been approved, but we have not yet received the application kit, including all the necessary forms and supporting documents.

As the application kit should be received shortly, we request the applicants to await contact from our office. Once a file has been created for the application, it will be reviewed and an eligibility decision made. If it is determined that an interview will be required, a letter will be sent to the applicant advising of the date and time for the scheduled interview. If it is determined that the interview can be waived, the applicant will receive a request for submission of original passport and any other documents or information required to finalize the application."

this is the first time i have heard about the file going from mississauga to ottawa and then to local embassy/visa office....in this case it is chc nd....



as per your post, MP office advised you that the file is still in ottawa....which kind of is a surprise....she also mentioned to you that a copy of the file is scanned and is being sent to chc nd while the whole package goes in the other mail.....but....3 months...that's sort of a long time.....


the impression that i got from your response is that the file is still in canada and chc nd is working with the electronic file because ur status says on e-cas as "in process".....


i would check with cpc mississauga....they may not have the information but they may guide u in a different direction or may be up the line......


now u already have the file number....i am not sure if u can also call chc office in delhi or may be in chennai to re-route ur query to delhi via chennai office......reason being is that chc nd may not reply from an ordinary person but if a query comes from the local office (chennai office)....chances are that they might reply little soon

as u have mentioned that chc nd mentioned in their email that once "a file is created" we will contact the applicant....



from ur previous posts....u mentioned that u finally got the file number which starts with F which means that a file has already been created for u and they have already rcvd the paper file....i would ask ur MP again and ask them for more clarification....reason being is that they can get the info earlier than us...

First this ottawa thing, and all new details she gave me..i am not even sure if these happen...or she was giving me a lesson on immigration.
How can a file not reach ND via post for 3 month?
Nylalisa - can you suggest something?

The last time i called CIC Miss they told me file was transferred to ND, this was a month before so i am not sure if they can help.
About the file number i got last week, no idea if they got the files last week or if it was a timing issue...this is the first time i am also hearing abt the Ottawa diplomatic post...
when it comes to process audits, these guys will fail 100% in 2011 !

this is absolutely BS. I guess, thats the std reply what ND gives.. I rem, we also got that reply once, when my PPR was actually sent.. Dont rely this reply..If that was the case, hw can u ve the file #.? This is so weird.. dont worry.. Its so irritating n frustrating..

This is a serious shocker to me and sounds like some BS as I'm hearing this for the first time too. I suggest you get your MP to get this clarified further as it makes no sense, provide her with examples of people from this forum when she tells you this happens to a lot of people. Although I doubt she will focus much on your case right now, she's got other things to take care of with the elections right now.

Maybe also call CIC Call Centre at the same time to see if you can find out anything else. One other thing you might want to do is have a quick consultation with an Immigration Lawyer to see what they have to say...it will cost you some $$$ but at least you will get to know if there are ways to get it expedited.

This is right that file is scanned in Ottawa. I know this from one parliament discussion. They have started this practice recently....i mean few months back.

what i could conclude is ur file might have been lost or misplaced by CIC or sometimes they send it to wrong VO which results in delay.

U must order caips immediately and also ask ur MP for more help.

If u have read what ND wrote to ur MP then i suggest u must consider it true. They cant just give wrong info to a MP.

Start making efforts to locate ur file or force them to make decision based on electronic file if the cant locate ur file.

That message from mp is crap and bs....... they scan and actually the procedure is they send the whole file by courier in batch to new delhi .... if the delhi guys have not received then they would not have created a file no for you...... mississauga file and delhi file numbers are different..................


and when there estimated time for completing application is about 4 months unofficially they will not wait for 3 months for sending original files........as far as i know they send the file immediately to delhi by courier which can take one week not more than that and then delhi guys will update.............


the procedure itself is crap where u dont know what is happening............now if u call delhi they might give u some other crap info...it sucks..................

and this is not normal docs where they can play around ...the file contains all personal information

anyways only we can do is sit and pray .........................it is just frustrating.........
