Hi everyone..

I need to book ticket to Toronto from chennai...

Which is the best airlines?
Air-india or jet airways?
If air-india, does there is security check in the new delhi airport?

Do anyone has previous experience travelling in air-india?

Pls advice me and give suggestions, as I am in need of it very urgently as i have planned to depart on April 3.....

Don go to delhi, too much security there..and you will be tired from the whole trip and waiting..
take Jet..i fly them all the time to chennai and so will my wife
Chennai-Belgium-Toronto
Leaves around 1:50 am and you wil be in toronto around 2 pm the same day.

I too tried Jet, but I dont ve any st flight, it seems I gotta go to US NY and then to toronto, thats why am choosing Air india.. gonna travel this sunday I hope we just gotta check in once in chennai and then st away check out in toronto..

Jet does not have a direct flight..its either delhi-brussels-TO or chennaI-brussels-TO
The chennai flight goes to NY..there is no direct NY in Jet..it is chennai-brussles-NY...or Delhi-Brussels-TO..in brussels you just interchange to the toronto flight..

Thanks fPrince. That 1stop is fine, but nowadays jet airways has 2 stops..Brussels and US NY too.. thats why am avoiding that and planning to go by Air India itself.

thanks for the encouraging words.. well we have already fallen back in time so I don't know how CIC will take care of that time. Even if they process our application immediately if we re submit it we will be late by like 1.5 months and I seriously doubt if CHC ND will process our application faster after that. They will take their sweet long time to screw with our lives.

Other options from chennai, as i always try to avoid flying inside the country to a different airport..

BA - Chenai-London-Toronto ( much cheaper option)
Lufthansa - chennai-frankfurt-Toronto
EMIRATES - Chennai-Dubai-Toronto ( A380 NON STOP from Dubai, pricey but best experience)

And with the new rules, can you carry 2 big luggages to toronto or is it just 1 ?

Not sure if you would need a transit visa if you fly to NY..confirm it with someone...

I need a transit visa if I fly thru NY.. But I already ve US visa.. And yeah they ve reduced to 1 luggage if u travel via any of the european airlines.. thats why I avoid Lufhtansa.. anyhw thanks a lot for the options Il check those
