We got a doc request today

They want more proof of communication even before we where dating , which is hard to get cuz we talked here and there on msn

they also want copies of our passport

by the way good luck on your trip

So its the msn chat logs and phone bills..in your app..did u say it was an arranged marriage? if not they would just like to know how you both keep in touch.

copies of passport - i believe its something on the checklist, did you forget to send them or is this different? they always needs first,last and entry/exit out of india when u come here for dating/engagement/marriage

She might be a bit busy but i think she got her interview status in ecase on feb 28 and she had to send additional documents somewhere in mid Dec...and they NEVER specify why they call u in ..

Thanks guys... I excited to leave, excited to see my husband and most excited to get this interview over and bring him home.

SO a bit of info for all you cool cats. I got my CAIPS notes today. Can't say they are helpful but one thing I will tell you, EVERYTIME you contact Delhi, it is noted on the file and what it was about and what their response was to it. So my suggestion, DONT contact them, sit back and wait it out, unless they go over their time limit. Also I see clearly that the file is in progress despite it not showing that it is on ECAS. And there is nothing alarming there, to be honest, it says we are recommended for interview but not why... they talk ALOT about my first marriage and thats about it. Does say anything about our age difference, that it was a love match and that we met on the internet , or that I have much more education then him. It says nothing actually except I am divorced. REpeately says that.

So I thought I would share with you all, everyone take care, and Ill keep you posted as soon as I know anything come the 30th.

Dont worry. They l soon find it.. We also had to withdraw our 1st appln n resubmit it again.. Our DMP said that she can provide a new medical originals as its valid for a yr.. Hence u dont have to do ur medicals again.. But luckily, we got back the entire appln kit soon, and hence we used the same for our 2nd also, with some more addnal proofs of chats , phone bills etc.. Ask for PCC, I too thot its valid for 3months, but our lawyer said its valid for a yr.. so not sure.. cos, my PCC was dated April 24th, and we submitted our 2nd appln on Sep 1st oly.. technically, its well past 3months.. Neither CIC nor ND asked us for any extra PCC.. I did a new PCC and had it in hand,in case if they asked.. But fortunately they dint ask for any PCC

No problem Vish I guess if u take PCC, from Canada its valid for 3months.. But if u take PCC from an Indian passport office,then its valid for a yr.

Hey Sanyrog,

My wife's police clearance certificate also expired when I filed my application. But fortunately CIC-M approved sponsorship and now they sent it to Delhi. I still didnt hear anything from them. She had police clearance from passport office India. Should I ask my wife to have new Police clearance certificate before they ask again?

ND wont ask for any new PCC, as its valid for a yr.. anyhw if its not gonna take a long time, u can ve a new PCC.. But make sure u ve ur ppt in hand when they ask for PPR.

pcc is valid for one year from india..so dont bother to spend money.... mine was also more than 3 months old.... i got update in ecas today saying my address is updated along with application received on march 13 in delhi..........

My wife called them and they said they did not had any details of our application in the system. They asked her then tracking number for the registered mail in which we sent the documents. She gave them the number and they raised an investigation request to check the whereabouts of our application. They said that they have 30 days to respond back to us and if they do not find our application then we will have to apply again. This sucks big time......... we will be delayed back by three months in this whole process...
Is there not any other way to find out where our application is... My wife called the number 1-888-242‑2100. Is not there any other number where we can call in Missisauga directly?


Hey dont worry ..if cic has lost then they will make up the time so dont worry..and actually they only need one day to approve ur sponsorship......so u will not fall back to queue.... just put a note that ur app was lost in cic so sending in new..... it will be fast.................dont worry.......

First off thanks to FPrince, you have been great! And sooo right, very busy....

To answer the questions ppl have asked me...I think Prince is right, got notified about the interview itself at the end of Feb. Extra docs were requested on the 31st of Jan, so about one month later, I heard about the interview itself. I also got the PPR request a week before extra doc request.

Someone asked me what it said in my CAIPS... nothing, basically they typed out what was printed in my app about my previous marriage. That's about it... there was nothing in CAIPS that is helpful.

If there is anything else, let me know Ill try to respond before I leave.
