Well I am someone who got PPR and invited to interview, yet my file reads "Application Received". Obviously they are processing it yet according to them, nope just received it.

Btw, I ATIP'ed my husband's file, what a bunch of rude people there. God help anyone who has to deal with this department within CIC. Hopefully they rush it and I get it in time. It at least seemed hopefull that I would, even given they are the devil's spawns over there.

I dont feel ..in todays environment any one wants to fake marriage...... by spending so much of money if they come here....siutations in canada is also changing.....jobs are not easy to get... and even if you get ...u will pay half the money in taxes....so the people who do fake marriages will be ultimate losers....... i hope this will act as a detterant to those who want to fake and come........ :P

Man its really hard on newly weds...If we cannot handle ND i dont know how people handle longer durations...Its really frustrating already...My wife is already asking me to ditch the app process and move back

I agree its not easy to get job esp if you are an immigrant and you are somewhere located around or next to quebec......where most of the jobs are billigual now, and if you earn more they will cut it from ur tax >:(

but there are still ppl exist in this world who can fake marriage or anything just to get in and unfortunately coz of those people we suffer. And the best part is canadian immigration can do nothing about it, esp if they know that person has faked it...to enter here........why??

Instead of working on background check and siting around and all, they should come up with something to kick those ppl out immidiately.............

immigration procedure is very tedious; it definately puts lot of strain and stress.... and I wonder inspite of having so called strict procedures..still criminals and fakers make there way................. :(..................

it is really sad that we have to prove our relationship .................on one hand canada has so called privacy issue where a husband cannot talk about wifes file......but on other hand they need all our private emails and chat records.... :P................is int sad........

Application for PR was received in New Delhi on Feb 28 2011

When should i expect a PPR including mailing time to Bombay

noticed most people is two week to three weeks

Actually there is no set time for PPR, it all depends on individual cases.

Everybody can just hope that ND is working fast

Hey Coolananda ...have u heard anything from them yet abt ur sponsorship thing, u applied on feb as well eh??
I submitted on the 10th...but till now no news :( maybe by the end of this week i guess!!

@Sanyrog

Did your ECAS changed yesterday ?

Hi Good News, did you receive your relationship proof back along with your visa; for instance, pics, documents, cards etc?
I am just curious. Also what is the expiry date, 1 yr after spouse got medicals done?
I was wondering if my hubby lands by visa expiry date, can we go back after he receives his PR card in mail at our canadian address to wrap up his job and other matters in india then come back to canada..can we leave soon after he receives his PR card or is there a waiting period before he can leave Canada as a new PR?

Usually the expiriy date on the visa is 1 year after the medicals was done.
The PR card will arrive at a canadian address in 6-8 weeks, usually ppl get it in a month or so, once you have your PR card you do not have any restriction on travel, it is the same rules like any other PR.
All the very best.

Did your wife do any travel abroad ? Was yours an arranged marriage too ??

Yes it was arranged marriage. and the only travel my wife had abroad was for our honeymoon.

@missinghim
you can travel anytime after you land. you can also travel even if u don't have ur PR card. but to come back to Canada, you will have to apply for a travel document. if you are coming back by any commercial means of transport. you can drive from US just by showing your COPR.

Also my Wife received another PPR by email. but then VO from CIC called her on her cell, to say that it was a mistake that they sent it again and they have her passport. Also he wasn't sure why the file was delayed, but he said that he just received the file today and will do a final review before issuing the visa.
He only asked her about the medical.
