I did send emails of our converstions before engagement ( which included conversation like applying for leave/ bookin tickets and other details) as i could not get my phone bill records and after engagements & marriage I had send all phone records........hope that is okay .......

To answer your Qs, it was last Saturday (March 5) we checked...it was processing. Then today Wednesday (March 9) we checked again it says decision made..etc. We didnt check in between March 5 and March 9.

Also as per inquiry about timeline (from the date I saw my spouse for first time...till engagement and then marriage), it is as follows:

- We met in U.S.A in February 2005.
- Dated til we got married in August 2007.
- Lived together from August 2007 to April 2010
(We had 2 children during this time - they are Canadian Citizens).
- He has come to Canada three times to visit kids and I between April 2010 to November 2010 on visitors visas.
- I am in India currently visiting him with our children.

Everyone's circumstances/history are different though. We didnt have an arranged marriage but it is common in india to have one as you all know and acceptable to immigration canada as long as you have good relationship proof...in all cases you need good relationship proof...pics, docs..etc. And no red flags which could delay application processing or if they have any doubt.

Yes that is exactly what i did, the more we send the better...you should be good, i hope things happen soon in ND.

We had a 12 month gap between engagement and marriage as she needed to complete the studies.I don't know that might have counted towards our case, I don't know man, it's New Delhi who does all that $hit

This wait is killing me, never waited for anything so desperately WTF

I know...my wife is already stressed by missing me...................i had 5 months gap between engagement and marriage.......waiting time kills and the main problem is we dont get proper feedback or info as to what is happening to our files..................hopefully we will be all lucky to sail through fast..................

Panda it is stressful now...waiting for it...and worse for us, we are in Goa vacationing.....Good news I have an important Q: Please let me know how you received your passport... I do remembering reading that it was sent registered. Did your spouse have to sign for it, did they ask for ID proof...
Also, my husband forgot how india mail works.. since he lived away for so long so another Q please.... for anyone who may know... What happens to registered mail if not received at an address. We are away from home as I mentioned...thats why Im asking.
Is it sent back to Delhi? Or does it go to a postal outlet/office in your city/town as the case in canada?
Im very stressed out!

You should man, ND is processing applications fast for ppl who applied in 2011
You should get your PPR soon, has your sponsorship been approved in CPC-M? when was your file transfered to ND

from what i heard, someone has to sign it...else it goes back to the post office and you would need to collect it
and anyone living in the household can sign, this is what i heard.

Goodnews got the passport the next day from Decision Made on march 7 and it was sent through Registered mail, so there is no one at your address right now ?usually they will put a note on ur gate or door and passport is kept at the local post office of your area for 15 days , if no one goes there to pick it up they will send it back to New Delhi as Un-deliverable.When are you going back from Goa to your place and Where are you located ?Coz I am still waiting for my passport and I am in Punjab.

Panda we are flying back on Saturday to Bangalore. I dont really know when our in processing changed to Decision made..maybe earlier this week..lets say Monday 6th the earliest...so it has been 4 days since Monday at the earliest since it has changed.
Where does Good News live? Good News please let me know unless anyone else knows. Pls let me know.
My husband said it takes about 5 days for registered mail to be received in bangalore frm New Delhi...We know this from when we did our children's proof of Canadian citizenship plus visitor's visas...5 days was the mailing trend.

I think in Punjab, may be Goodnews can tell us the name of the city. I live in Ludhiana, Punjab and I haven't received anything yet, I am expecting something this week if u hold on to 5 day trend then it comes out to be Friday March 11.

You don't want the Postman to return back seeing that no one is there, so you must plan something now and When you go there at the earliest tomorrow may be, just go to the Local Post office and ask anything addressed to you guys from new Delhi as registered post, they might have it already there, who knows.

I went over all the posts in this Forum and found out that all the members that had their ECAS changed to Decision Made have received their passports with Visa in 1-5 days Max. so That's what I am expecting.unless New Delhi started working differently now.
But Goodnews also received her's in 1 day from the change of status !

it is not so bad if it goes to the post office and they hold it for us...i have only 2 days left here so no need to change air tickets..we'll be back in Bangalore in a couple days. I'll just be anxious these last days in Goa thats all. What a bad way to end a fabulous vacay! Oh well. This is better news...if pp comes back with visa!! =)

I just dont want it going back to Delhi that would be hassle. It will be good if it goes to post office & they keep it for us in our absence.

Mail frm Delhi to Bangalore is not so quick...I would love to know where Good news lives lol...

Like i said 5 days has been the trend for registered mail frm embassy in delhi to us in bangalore before. So you are right panda 5 days is Friday. So if its unsuccessfully delivered on Friday to us then post office will have it for 2 days (no counting sunday).
Really anxious now but just have to wait and see. Panda, hope your spouse gets her visa soon!

Yeah 12:30 am in GOA, it's actually a good way to end the vacation, starting of a new vacation in Canada lol
I hope Goodnews will read and tell us her city.What you can do is go to the following link and check for your passport office and you can call them and ask what happens if registered mail goes un delivered , for how long do they hold it, that way you can enjoy rest of your vacation in GOA not thinking about any hassle that might cause.
