For those who have received email from cic, do they send it to the applicant only or they also copy the sponsor?.

from cic they just send to sponsor but from visa office both applicant and sponsor are emailed.

ok I just wanted to kno coz my wife is a Canadian too but she is born Canadian and we are different races. Wondering if spouses of different racial and cultural backgrounds have longer processing than those that are originally from the same country . The wait is still on

yeah ask if they got it Etc. you may not get a responds though but it worth trying . What we have done is request the note. We are expecting that in few days time to see what's happing with our application . You can do same and you will get a full note on your case and what the officer thinks and if you've passed Medicals , criminality etc . I see you are beginning to get worried because someone you applied before got ppr. We are anxious now than ever because we got SA and file transfer next day after he got his so that's around the same time . But we just keeping it busy and easy

you have to fill and sign the consent form , scan it and send it to your spouse in Canada to order the note. It 5 dollars . Below is the link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp

Hi All -

Dave01 seemed to have this issue too but would really like some help. The Accra HC emailed us on July 8th to say the package is ready for pickup. We have sent FedEx 3 times to pick up the package and they were told that "it is not ready for pickup". Dave01 how did you get around this? We tried emailing the embassy - but they pretty much just forwarded an email to us saying the passport is ready for pickup.

My partner is currently here in Canada visiting with us - so when we sent the Passport to Accra we were unable to send a return pre-paid envelope. So what we have done is to create a "FedEx Account" and to do a return from Ghana to us. If anyone is aware of another courrier in Ghana to use - or Dave01 you might be able to help since your wife was also in Calgary when you sent for her passprt. Much appreciated all - and to those waiting keep the faith. We applied on Jan 20th 2014 and were told our Documents were ready end of June - so things in Accra seem to be moving quite fast.

I sent accra but no respond then I sent FedEx back after two days and they were able to pick it up.. Try send then again if it hasn't been picked up.. Good luck

I just got an email today that my wife's visa is ready to be issued.

Congratulations!!!. Its a good thing you sent that email. I also applied in february, no response yet and the people who submitted in Feb on this forum have been mailed. Im waiting till the end of the month before i send them an email. Congrats once again

For those that are still waiting to hear from Accra, don't be alarmed, files are assigned to case workers and it depends on how slow/fast each are and how thorough each are etc.

Any idea how long it takes for passport to be ready after it has been received by the embassy. From tracking mine was signed for on Wednesday morning. When do i expect contact from them.

you are welcome . I wonder why they want that. Tell him to just have confidence and he should take additional proof of communication with him etc. he should read through some of the interview questions posted on here and be familiar with them. He should try to remember dates you guys met , and know more about you. How abt the note did you have enough time to request it?
