Did you get any indication when CIC had received your Additional docs. I was requested documents twice but never received anything as a confirmation. My AD never changed, it;s always been we donot need any additional documents at this time.

I called them this morning...the agent was nice...but she told me what the last agent told me in Jan was wrong about saying I passed security but not criminality, all she sees is that they are working on background check...won’t even tell me any detail like if I pass either security or criminality. Also said the last agent shouldn’t have told me to call back in early feb coz they have don’t specific date when the file will be ready...when I asked about my dependent she said she couldn’t tell me anything either due to privacy reason...

She said I just have to be patient since I passed my eligibility and my med has been extended so it’s just a matter of time...

I ordered GCMS notes- this is what the first page of the notes say-

Any idea how long it is going to take-

Org Crime-

Medical – Passed

Misrepresentation-

Any idea how long it is going to take?

It is hard to tell based off the front page. There isn't any specific timeline for Security Verification. I have been in the same stage since at least October 2017 now. Can you look into more detail and see exactly what stage of Security Verification you are in?

Now that makes me think...

We don't know the political affiliation of our case officer. What if she is a far right wing conservative pickle policy lover?

Maybe she only processes the "safe" people. And the rest can just wait like they usually do for everything on their third world countries.

And probability of such people could be safely assumed to be 20% of the case officer population.

That explains why some cases from Pakistan and Iran are processed withing 39 days while the others are languishing without explanation
I keep wondering if it is a case of married vs single and with or without children. I think people with children are assumed safer, they get delays in processing because they are more people, but they don't generally get ss

I concur with this idea as well. but I they have watched the movie Four Lions they should better know better. I think their methods are outdated and outmoded by the current reality of our lives.

Sometimes I wonder why the statements of CIC agents are contradictory. I mean at least give a valid answer at first place rather than making things up. May be the person who assisted you at the first place had a long day and just wanted to get rid of the call. I don't know - this is just upsetting. Same happened with me, person I spoke to in Dec said If i don't hear anything by last week of JAN I should call in as she could see that there is some date from Mid JAN assigned to the agent who is working on my file. When I called in the last week - the statements were opposite.

I got my AOR on 12th Dec 2016. I am NSPNP candidate. :(

I got married in between and got my husband added as a dependent in the profile on March 28 2017. Any idea how long it is going to take. we have been waiting for more than an year now. :(

I’m just really disappointed with their replies...she even said ottawa just replied to my email few days ago regarding my status, she made it sound like I shouldn’t have called them today...I was like...that was a standard reply...she said that email explains clearly there’s additional verification like background check...
I didn’t contact them at all in the first 6 months not even ordering gcms because I know they need time to do their work. but after 6 months I believe we all deserve to know what’s going on and they should provide us with some sort of timeline...

Any idea how long the status "we need additional documents" may change to a next stage like "being uploaded/reviewed/no additional documents required" after I uploaded the ADR? if it's going to change.

I know, I am in a same boat. Never contacted them in first 7 months, my first call to CIC was in the last week of DEC where they gave me false hopes. Then second one was in JAN, I will order GCMS tonight, with that I will at least know what's going on with my file, what exactly has passed and what's not.

Received PRR today after 11 months .
Hey congrats.
Just curious to know, how about your meds. Did they extend or asked you to redo?
