CSIS responded to my request in two weeks.
The point here is not that BGC takes more time, the point is that CIC don't even initiate the procedure with CSIS after 8 months of processing the file (and according to my GCMS notes they finished all other activities after one month from AOR), so if it was not requested from CSIS to do the BGC, the time of BGC becomes somewhat irrelevant.

Sent a fax to CSIS requesting the status of my security check. they have all the info on their website about what kind of personal data they need in order to reply, but i don't remember the link.

just opened my CIC account, the status became updated today - medicals changed from passed to not needed (i took the exam in january 2016). My medical result have not expired yet, so have no idea what this is supposed to mean.

Guys anybody facing the issue of 'internal server error
Error 500 while accessing MyCIC account.I have not been able to check the status this week because of this error.

Hey don't worry! They are reassessing your MED. It'll change to "passed" again soon.
