@legalfalcon Ok thank you!
I actually received an email today from Ottawa asking me about my first and last date of entry to Canada and to confirm my address and if i currently in Canada.
My first entry was as a tourist actually with a visitor visa. I then came back 2 years later as international student and resided here. My first entry as a tourist still counts correct??
I will appreciate your advise on this.
YEs.

Hi @legalfalcon, I need your advice. My AOR is 20th July 2020, and the last note update on my file was 15 oct by case analyst and after that, it was assigned to RC-9515 (CPC - Ottawa), and further, it was not assigned to any officer as informed by Agent over the phone today. Now my file is abandoned. what can I do in this situation?

Eligibility, Info sharing, criminality - Processing
MEdical - Passed
Biometrics- 17th oct,2020
Your file is not abandoned. This is not how processing works. Your file will always e assigned to an officer.

Many filed have not been worked on and are panding for a long time, and your applictaion is not the only one.

You just have to wait.

Hi @legalfalcon I would really appreciate your help with my a question around my noc code. I am just about to apply for express entry and this is the only outstanding issue. I currently work in a law firm and I negotiate and review client contracts from a risk point of view to ensure the risk is not exposed to risk. I also help partners negotiate client terms of engagement as well as manage a team. I am not a qualified lawyer but i have a bachelors and masters in law.

The closest NOC to contract negotiation is 1225 Purchasing agents and officers but the description seems to be geared towards around purchase of goods and procurement services. It does make a vague reference to services.

Paralegal and Legal Admin Assistants have different duties to my work. I initially thought I would fall under one of those before I read the descriptions.

I would really appreciate any guidance or help.

Thank u!

Hello again @legalfalcon
I have been waiting for an approval since I passed all stages on March 26, when I call, the agent keeps saying the she can see that the Integrated FOSs/GCMS is approved, however, the approval isn’t showing up in my CIC account
At this stage, do you know what is left to be done before the approval on CIC account or are there still steps to be taken before the final approval in my account?? Thank you for your assistance

It doe snot matter what NOC you chose. What matters is that your Job duties listed on the work reference letter should substantially (75% or more) match the job duties of the NOC you select.

Also, you do not have to meet the educational qualifications of the NOC you select.

There are many such application just like yours where all stages have bene passed and the GCMS notes may show approved. However, until a COPR is generated you will not see any change in your MyCIC account.

IF everything has been done, you just have to wait. IRCC is continuing to approved application and send out PPRs on a regular basis.

@legalfalcon Sir, I was wondering does IRCC finish an application when they issue a copr or when they issue a pr card? Will changing a job after getting copr (cec applicantion with job offer for 50 points) impact on the application or on the pr card? Your help is appreciated @legalfalcon

An application is closed as soon as your COPR is issued. A COPR is the proof of your permanent resident status.

PR is not necessary. The first PR card is automatically issued, but you do not need a PR card. PR is a travel documents and also a proof of your COPR.

As soon as your have a signed and stamped COPR, you are a PR and have constitutional rights, which includes living anywhere in Canada, and working for any employer and even starting your own business if you so desire

Hello @legalfalcon

I am a Dec20 COPR holder from India.
I just login to my application today and found my wife's biometrics details missing/blank, whereas her biometrics have been done in March 2020.

What could be the reason?

Thank you in advance

It could be a technical issue. But send a webform to IRCC to find out.

Good morning. One other question @legalfalcon
When you say “until a COPR is generated”- is this done by the Visa Officer, primary or secondary Visa office. The reason I’m asking is my secondary visa office is Sidney, so was wondering if that’s part of the delay. By the way, I’m CEC Inland.... thanks in advance
