Ok so that means as an Extended Family Member of a Canada citizen ,COPRs are allowed to travel without AL?

Coz it's not mentioned here https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/service-delivery/coronavirus/travel-restrictions.html
Hi @legalfalcon ,
Here is says : Extended family members of a Canadian citizen, a person registered as an Indian under the Indian Act or a permanent resident of Canada will be deemed to be travelling for a non-discretionary or non-optional purpose if the travel is for 15 days or more and they are travelling with or to be with their Canadian citizen, person registered as an Indian or permanent resident family member.

---
So, this means I can't avail AL based on the above fact as am travelling to different province and not re-uniting

If you are claiming that you are going to meet and reunite with your family, you have to travel to the province where your family is. After you quarantine there for 15 days and upon being admitted you become a PR, you can travel to any province within Canada. You don't have to travel straight to your province of nomination or destination.

You cannot travel back to Canada just with a COPR. You will have to apply for a PRTD from the country you are in.

See https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/new-immigrants/pr-travel-document.html

As regards the address, there is no address requirement for PR card, you can fill in any Canadian address.

This is just an observation. Only if IRCC asks you for a new biometric, you have to provide one.

See https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/identity-management/biometrics/conditions.html

Canadian Immigration Biometric Identification System (CIBIDS) poor quality fingerprints
CIBIDS accepts poor quality fingerprints and provides real-time feedback to advise officers when a poor quality fingerprint has been taken.

When CIBIDS advises officers of a poor quality fingerprint, the officer should attempt to take the fingerprint again.

However, the officer can also choose to accept the poor quality fingerprint. The officer must select the appropriate reason for why a poor quality fingerprint was accepted. Officers have the option of including additional notes and should define and record alternative reasons for the acceptance, where appropriate.

The information is displayed in the Global Case Management System (GCMS) and is visible to the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) officer assessing the application.

Thanks a lot sir for your reply, there is slight confusion I have between IMM 0008 and IMM0008 DEP forms, do i have to submit both these forms separately, according to IRCC website if you have more than 5 dependants then you should fill IMM 0008 DEP form and if less than 5 then just need to identify dependants in IMM 0008, posting IRCC link also https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides/complete-0008-5669.html

As suggested above you

IMM 008 - must be completed by the principal applicant ( done)
IMM 5669 - must be completed by the principal applicant (done)
IMM 0008DEP - Must be completed with dep info (confusion)
IMM 5406 - must be completed by the principal applicant, dependent spouse and any dependent 18 years of older. Each will have to fill their own form (done)

Thanks @legalfalcon in advance.

Dependant(s)
You must answer each question on behalf of each of your dependants.

To add a new dependant to the application, click the “Add Dependant” button, located at the bottom of the page.

To remove a dependant from the application, click the “Remove Dependant” button.

You can add up to 5 dependants using this form.

If you have more than 5 dependants:

To include everyone in your application, you must complete the following form for each additional family member:

Do I need anything from my employer while returning? Because I am thinking to resign before leaving
No, your employer has nothing to do with your PRTD.

@legalfalcon - any thoughts on the below? I know you don't like to speculate, but keen to hear if you've seen anything like this before or know what the official rules are meant to be for how they handle it?

hi @legalfalcon - another medical expiration related question for you. I've tried to call IRCC but haven't got through for several days, so figured you may have an opinion...

My medical was done last march (my AOR is may 2nd). My medical is still not passed, I assumed due to having a pre-existing condition that probably will generate a PFL but the response to the PFL should be accepted as the amount is below the threshold. Everything else on the application is passed as of dec 9th.

I know that passed medicals that expire often get an automatic extension, and then when that expires, a remedical request is sent.

But I wonder if you know what happens if your medical expires before they've even assessed it? Will it automatically trigger a re-med? or will it maybe at least bring my file up to an officer's attention and get a that PFL finally done?

such a bizarre situation... eligibility, infosharing and security were all passed in the summer a month after R10 was passed. Gave biometrics in october, and criminality passed in dec 6th. Agents I spoke to in december had no idea what the next step was or how it could be triggered to an officer's attention.

Visa is now expired, am in implied status pending a response on BOWP application.

@legalfalcon

I requested last GCM notes on Nov 19 was received on last week and my GCM notes second page as below. Date generated shows as 19th Nov and second page as S.21. I believe my application is approved but i did not get any COPR yet

Assessments
Eligibility: Passed
Security:
HIRV:
Criminality: passed
Org Crime:
Medical: passed
Misrepresentation:
Info Sharing: Complete
Other Reqs:
Final: Approved

I was under the impression that my application is approved based on the GCM notes. Today I could get connected to IRCC agent through phone and he mentioned that even if your application is approved final decision has not been made. Is this true is that a separate step.

Hi All,

Single applicant, Married, no accompanying spouse in the EE profile. CEC

ITA- 25th June
AOR- 16H August,
Biometrics submitted- 14th October
profile percentage- 86 %

I just notice that my UCI number on EE profile is different than the one on my study permit and work permit.
it is a 10 digit number on EE and 8 digits on study/work permit.

However, my friends who are single applicants and are not married, had their UCI number updated to their original UCI number from study/work permit.
Usually, UCI number changes to old UCI, from CAN00 To 8 digits, but for me, it changed to new 10 digits.

Is that something, I should be worried about?

I recently also received/approval for my Bridging work permit and it also has a new UCI number- 10 digit number, whereas when I submitted my form for Bowp, I used my 8 digit number from study/work permit

Please let me know!
