i got news that my file is approved even here in cairo but my file entered a new level of security by ottawa and it's unofficial as my ss is completed in file and they finished their work and waiting for security clearance from Ottawa. do you have any idea what is that new level of security that's done unofficially and how long does it take?
can it be related to my job as a religious edu. worker?

Update: on the 25th October, I received another PPR email today at 10 p.m. Ottawa time with the same instructions, does that have any meaning? my passports are already in the embassy.

GCMS, under FSW MEC, the points against 'Client highest level of Education' is mentioned 126. But in another section against FSW MEC, the points against 'Client highest level of Education' is mentioned as 23.
In the final status, for eligibility it does say Passed. But I am not sure if the points allocated are correct. Could you please advise.

You do not need any old medical history. When you go for your medicals and your panel physician will conduct additional tests as per what is prescribed by IRCC. The most conclusive test is the chest x-ray for any active TB. For latent TB he may conduct a skin test or a blood test. But, there is nothing to worry about. I have invited a family [ Distance relative ] and they all came together to visit canada. Some of them have single entry while others have multiple entry visa. I am afraid that they will try to over stay here. What should I do in this situation ?

My status : Open Work Permit

What happen if they try to claim asylum ? I sponsored them as goodwill and Now I am in big trouble. I need to apply for the PR in the future as my has skilled job in Canada.

Thank you for your time and help. Do you have any idea how the PPR email is triggered for applications that are approved? From a call with CIC, my application is already approved since 3-Oct-17, it has been more than 3 weeks and there is no PPR. In contrast, a few other applications approved later already receive PPR. I wonder, does the officer have to do something to trigger this mail and if he/she forgets/ignores to do it, a mail will never be sent even though it is approved for some time?

I called the CIC agent a couple times and both times they said they couldn't view my application as it is in London Visa Office, and that I need to email London.

Is this true that they cannot view applications which have been moved to other VO's?

Its showing on the date 22nd August when file transfer to local visa office...Eligibility and Security not started . So how do i know my Eligibility is passed @ CIO. Does A 11.2 met signifies eligibility passed. Kindly share your views .

Yes, A11.2 = eligibility. The eligibility takes place in 2 stages. First a case analyst will review and make a recommendation. This will be seen in your notes in the last few pages. This recommendation is then reviewed by an officer and the eligibility (A11.2) is passed.

If your application is approved there is nothing to worry about. Since your application would have been at LVO, and the SS finished at Ottawa, it is CPC Ottawa who will make the final review. This is what your file was referred to Ottawa. The agencies which do the security only make a recommendation. The IRCC is the one which makes the final determination.

As regards the PPR, that is a great sign. CONGRATULATIONS!

If your PP is already at the LVO, raise a CSE and also send an email to CPC Ottawa - CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca

The points are calculated for two things-

CRS - see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp

MEC - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp

An applicant has to meet, both the MEC and CRS to be eligible.

If you did give them a letter of invitation claiming that you will take care of them, then it is your responsibility to ensure that they do not over stay. If anyone of them claims asylum, then it will be decided on its merit. However, if you are aware that your relatives will overstay, or will violate any immigration laws, you should immediately inform IRCC so that it does not put you in trouble.
