Any movement on your file is always a positive sign. I am not sure about the details on your file so cannot say much.

Hi all,
I'll give a brief description first
I have an electrical engineering technology advanced diploma with co-op. The original program includes 6 semesters and 4 - four month co-ops. I have a bachelors from home country so I got direct admission into 4th semester and I finished 3 semesters (4,5,6) and a few mandatory courses from first three semesters and did 3 co-ops. The diploma certificate I received states - 'Electrical Engineering Technology Advanced Diploma with co-op'. I started in Jan 2013 and finished in April 2015.
My question is, Would this be considered as a 3 year diploma or 2 year?

The assessment of your educational credentials works on a lot of factors which are evaluated by specialized agencies like the WES. I, or anyone else giving your an advise, unless someone who has done the same program, would be just making a speculation. I would advise you to apply for your WES assessment to get a sure result.

Based upon the information you have provided, and taking into account that the program was for 6 semesters (3 years), which you finished early as you were given credit or advanced standing for your bachelors degree, I would say it should be accessed as a 3 year diploma. I see it as a degree program which you finish faster as you have done the coursework and you get credit for it, or you finish it early by taking extra credits each semester will not impact the duration of your program.

However, to be sure, you should apply for an assessment and see what the results are.

This is not too helpful, but I cannot provide you with information which is beyond my area of knowledge and expertise.

Hello,

After I submitted the passport copy and photo, what should I expect?

The next step is download the Confirmation of PR from the CIC website, right?

If your question is in reference to the passport request, you should have an email with the instructions. If not, then I am not sure what you are referring to.

If you do not meet the minimum income threshold the chances are that your application for supervise will be rejected. The CIC usually is very particular. But since you have 3 members (I assume), are you the only working member. If you have your spouse who is also working, you can show her income too and see if that works.

If not, then you should wait until your income threshold goes over the limit. Until then your parent or grandparent can visit you on a regular visitor visa.

This message is usually sent when your BGC is complete and is waiting for a final review from an agent before the application can be finalized. It will depend on how many applications are pending before your, but usually you should be able to her back from the CIC with a PPR within 1-3 weeks.

You are almost very close to getting a PPR.

Hope this helps!
