You mean I should raise a CSE or just an email updation would do?
I was reading some posts where people mentioned that they did not update the passport details to CIC and simply send it for stamping along-with the old passport.
Raise a CSE, with a substitute documents. I can only tell you the correct procedure, not what other did and got through. IRCC clearly states that when there is a change in circumstances, the applicant should inform IRCC of the same, which included passport renewal.

After the application is approved, it goes for final review and then it is sued up for PPR. The PPR is released in batches. So you may have to wait for a few days for the PPR.
Dear LegalFalcon, is this a mistake from you ? how come a final review comes after an agent tells you that your application is approved ?

Please reply legalfalcon
Q1. I dont want to work as a teacher in canada as I know it requires B.Ed and further license as well I will try to find some job related to my education there. But I just want to use my work exp under express entry for points and eligibility as it is not illegal to work as a teacher in my country without B.Ed And I have all exp letters so can I claim my work exp points?
YEs, you can claim work experience as long as it was full time, or in equal ant part time. There is no requirement for a license.

Q2. Date XYZ first became qualified to practice in this occupation
If the "primary occupation" is:
a qualified trade (four-digit code begins with 632, 633, 72, 73, 82, 92), this is the date they became qualified to practice on their own in Canada. (For example, when they moved from apprentice to being a licensed tradesperson.)
any other job, this is the date they first obtained the minimum education or training stated in the NOC description. (Note: if the NOC only states high school, this is the date they graduated.)

Which date should I write on it as my 2 yrs bachelors was completed in march 2015 and then I started working. And finished my 2 yrs masters in april 2017. And do the above paragraph mention that we should have to be qualified for the job we are doing? as I am no lawyer or doctor which requires specific degree.

The date will be the day when you met the requirements to work in your field.

So i finally got the agent say that my application was approved with his congratulations... is there any other check before issuing a ppr?
Now there is a final review, which is more of a formality to ensure that everything is in order, before the PPR is issued, which is coming to you soon.

Congratulations!!

@legalfalcon just a quick question regarding the required documents. Does it matter which office the letter is addressed to? For example. my employment reference letter is addressed to oinp is it ok to reuse the same letter for post ITA.
No it does not matter. However, it is always better to have them addressed to whom it may concern.

Dear LegalFalcon, is this a mistake from you ? how come a final review comes after an agent tells you that your application is approved ?
The agent tells you from the GCMS. So the GCMS will state application status as "APPROVED," after this a final review is done, just to ensure that the file is with the right VO and is put in queue for the PPR with the batch. Here, final review is not related to eligibility etc. This is what some applicants have the application reviewed, and have have to wait 1-2 weeks before the PPR.

Thank you so much legalfalcon, Just to confirm it, as I have started working after completing my 2 yr bachelors so I should mention that date as the day I become qualified to work in my field?

There is no such information available. There are many people without last names and have no problem in getting a health card, PR card, or a driving license. Since the person writing theist states that he got a PR card, but had issues with health card, which is strange as health card cannot be refused and neither can a person be asked to have a last name, when he has none.
Hi legalfalcon,

So, do you suggest me to proceed with the name as it is (i.e. without any last name). I am planning to land in Ontario. Would love to know if know any case of having no last name and getting medical card in Ontario?

Thanks,
PKS

Hi Legalfalcon,

I hope you're doing well and thanks in advance for the help.

Today I have called CIC and checked if I passed the eligibility as my account details show that they started my background check. (I am an inland FSW, If I am not wrong I heard somewhere that in some cases background check starts before eligibility for FSW-I).

Agent told me that I have passed the eligibility check ( I believe that's a very good sign?). However she mentioned that they started my criminality check not the background check. I searched through your background check process post but I couldn't manage to find something related to that. Could you please let me know if I understood her right and what would be the difference if yes? What would be your estimate duration for me to get PPR? (I know it varies for each application but considering the standard/average timelines what would be your estimation?) My AOR is July 9th.

Thanks!

In case an EE application is rejected is based on not meeting the NOC eligibility, on which stage (or after how many weeks of application submission), an applicant is informed about this?
