Hi LegalFalcon,

Well i have a very weird case right now. Please share yoir expert opinion

I am FSWO 26th Feb 2017. I received gcms on 1August, generated on July 19. Notes were pretty simple. At CIO agent was happy/satisfied with everything. You also commented on this forum that case is simple. My file moved to London on 1 June. I wrote to London once i received my notes on 7th August that you guys haven't touched my file since June 1. On 8th august i recieved an Adr, which I submitted same day. I again sent an email on 11/12 august that my adr status has not changed as i have uploaded the required docs. They replied me on 15August that my file is awaiting a FINAL review with immigration officer. Then till 26th August i exceeded normal timlines and i raised a cse. Today i sent an email to London with the subject Exceeded timeline...... Then a while ago my BG changed to IP2.

But at the same time i have received a reply from london to my 7th August email where i was complaining that my file has not been touched since 1 June. Reply is they needed additional verification, which is in progress before they move forward.

Meanwhile they have given me 60 days to pay rprf fee or as soon as possible. No link given to pay the fee

What is your expert opinion.

Thank you

@legalfalcon. Thanks for sharing the article. From what I understand from this is if the bank letter fulfils all the said requirements, it should be okay. I am going to make sure that my bank letter states that funds are available, transferable and unencumbered by debts.
In my specific case money has been deposited by my father in cash on different dates ( $6000 , $5800 and $3500). It has been more than 3 months that I am holding the minimum required balance. TBH I am trying to avoid the gift deed bit to keep things simple. As the money was deposited in cash and not in lump sump, I feel it's going to make things rather complicated.
How do you see this situation and what's the best way to handle it in your opinion?

Hi Legalfalcon,

I hope you're doing well and thanks in advance for the help.

Today I have called CIC and checked if I passed the eligibility as my account details show that they started my background check. (I am an inland FSW, If I am not wrong I heard somewhere that in some cases background check starts before eligibility for FSW-I).

Agent told me that I have passed the eligibility check ( I believe that's a very good sign?). However she mentioned that they started my criminality check not the background check. I searched through your background check process post but I couldn't manage to find something related to that. Could you please let me know if I understood her right and what would be the difference if yes? What would be your estimate duration for me to get PPR? (I know it varies for each application but considering the standard/average timelines what would be your estimation?) My AOR is July 9th.

Thanks!
Hi when did your status change to we are processing your bgc and what's meds pass date ?

Hi Legalfalcon,

I have already extended my student visa for a program starting this September. However, I got my timetable today and class times are overlapping with my working hours(It's NOC A job so I don't want to quit my job). I was wondering if I drop the course and register for a January intake (so I can sort working hours by that time), would my student permit become invalid? Should I inform the CIC?

Hello legal Falcon,

Thanks for all your guidance through out my Canada PR process. I have submitted my application on August 15th. I passed medicals today. I also received a request to fill, sign and upload IMM5475 (Authority to release personal information to the designated individual form).
My question is regarding section 3. I submitted my application online through my CIC Account, hence what should I mention for below section
1. Name of the office where the application was submitted
2. Location of office
3. Type of application: (I presume is permanent residence)

Thank you in advance for your input on this.

Hi Legalfalcon,

When should I order my GCMS notes ?

My details:
AOR - August 23
PNP - Outland

Thank you!
45 days post AoR, that is when you will have at least the r10 and medicals passed. Based on what you get, you can order subsequent notes and track the progress.

Hi legalfalcon,

So, do you suggest me to proceed with the name as it is (i.e. without any last name). I am planning to land in Ontario. Would love to know if know any case of having no last name and getting medical card in Ontario?

Thanks,
PKS
In the absence of any weblink, and the fact that IRCC and the federal government issues PR cards, COPR without a last name, I would be surprised that Ontario would make it mandatory to have a last name. This is not only surprising, but also goes against the Ontario Human rights code, which mandates freedom to choose your name and last name (family name) is not mandatory. Ontario is issuing gender neutral health cards, and they making is mandatory to have a last name, is somehow surprising.

I did try searching it on the health card manual and there is nothing there. The registration link is available here, and so is the form http://www.forms.ssb.gov.on.ca/mbs/ssb/forms/ssbforms.nsf/FormDetail?openform&ENV=WWE&NO=014-0265-82

It does not mandate anything so this nature. I would be happy to look into it if the concerned person who started this can inform me where and how this happened.

The criminality is based on the PCCs you submit and for most applicants is the upfront PCC submitted with the application. However, for the inland applicants, the RCMP is submitted who requested by IRCC and therefor the criminality is completed later. I cannot make an estimate, but if your eligibility is complete, the criminality is a small process. As soon as the PCCs are you will be done in no time.

And eligibility is 90% of the application. After which is the BGC. Some people get stuck in the BGC, when they see SS on the GCMS notes, but that is for a selected few.

@legalfalcon

In case an EE application is rejected is based on not meeting the NOC eligibility, on which stage (or after how many weeks of application submission), an applicant is informed about this?
For the NOC, it will be eligibility. I cannot predict the exact date as each application progresses differently, but that would be somewhere 2-3 months after AoR.

If you are stuck in BGC, it could be "SS," which takes a considerable time to be done and many applicants get stuck in SS, and then the file keeps sitting with CBSA for a long time. I am not suggesting that your file is stuck in SS, but to be sure you will need to see that in your GCMS. If you see SS in one of the activities, then you will have to wait longer than expected and there are not specific timelines of how much you will need to wait. Some applicant have been stuck there for over 6 months, after the BGC started.

For the RPRF you can pay is online at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/result.asp?countrySelect=&lob=rprf and send the receipt via CSE.

If you meet the requirements, and can get the letter from the financial institution, that is great. There is no requirement to share the money came from or in what about was it deposited. If your meet the requirements, no need to worry.

I am not sure in what context you are asking. Are you on a student visa with work permit, the work you are doing do you intent to use it for CSE. Please provide a context when asking questions.

Thank you for your opinion.

But SS thing get started at CIO level, last notes i have received, generated on 19th July does not has any SS implication. Also before yesterday no communication from London indicated that my file has been in for SS.
