This is a new requirement. We have already discussed this on the OONP thread. Usually, after AOR, the officer handling your case sends you an email requesting you to order a copy of the ECA to be sent to them directly from the issuing agency.

So, OINP is advising all applicants who are applying after Jan 11 to do this right away. While it is unclear what has to be done by applicants who have submitted applications before that, I think we need to wait for the email from the assessing officer.

Thanx for the information.
However i am still confused that what should i do since i havent recd AOR so far?

I was filling post ita online forms , under family column they are writing last name as mandatory field and not allowing me to submit forms without it but my problem is no one in my family has surname written on passport. can someone please tell me what to do

I am assuming your documents reached Ontario on October 30th. You might likely get an AOR within the next week.

My application package reached them on November 5 and I am awaiting an AOR too.

If you are planning to order the report upfront, I suggest you to wait at least until the AOR. Once you get an AOR, you will be able to quote your file number when you send an email to Ontario. You could order the report and send them the receipt. Wait for the AOR.

You might want to check this out -
What do you mean by surname?

Your surname is your family name. It is sometimes called your “last name.” If your name is spelled differently on your official documents, please write your name as shown in your passport. When filling out applications, type your surname as it appears on your passport, travel or identity document or any letters you got from the visa office or case processing centre where you sent your application (even if the name is misspelled). Do not use initials.

If you do not have a family name on your passport, travel or identity document, enter all your given name(s) in the surname field and leave the given name field blank. Do not enter “*”, “Not applicable” or “NA”.

If you don't have an LMIA job or aren't invited under CEC, you'll be asked for POF. Check your ITA letter again to confirm the program. If you're eligible under both CEC and FSW, you might still get away with not providing POF if you're a PNP applicant.

Before getting an Invite for PNP, my EE profile showed me eligable for both FSW and CEC. But I think for BC PNP they took CEC into consideration. I am still currently working, according to this link, I maynot have to show the required amount http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

But yeah it is still stressful. Thanks !

Provide N/A in those fields and add a short note in the LOE about this.

Hello Asivad

do yo u think the CRS will come down to 441 anytime soon ?

Thank You

Likely to happen when the backlogs get cleared & if and when CIC revises their immigration requirement upwards. It will be a few months at least before the cutoff score drops below 450.

Sure. Or write NA. Doesn't matter.

CIC blocked my account for 24 hours for entering incorrect password. They don't block the account forever right?

Thanks.

I think you answered your own question!

CIC is full of surprises, ambiguity and a harbinger of bad news to so many. I'd say they are extremely unpredictable. I hope they keep processing applicants at the same pace or better - employ more staff to handle the growing number of applications. We have no option but to wait it out and see how things pan out !

I have said it before and I am going to say it again, they need to hire some of the people off this forum to work in CIC. :-)

I forgot one of my security question's answer. I don't know what to do now..as I already received Nomination as well as ITA and now I can't even access my account.
