Hi Asivad,

Hope you are doing well.

I lived in Uk till January 2012 with my spouse and got PCC in May 2012 for NZ PR. We requested 2 sets of PCC and still have one copy available with us dated May 2012.

My spouse never returned back or traveled to UK after January 2012. Can he use this certificate?

Yes.

In November 2014 on the way back from India to Canada, I transited through London Heathrow and got 24 hours entry at Heathrow airport from Immigration UK and I went outside to meet my friend for couple of hours only. Can I use my old PCC in this case?

Dicey in the light of recent forum reports but I'll stick my neck out and say that CIC will accept this PCC for you as well.

Regards

Your help needed.
Is it necessary to upload LOE for source of funds?

Hi Asivad,

Thank you so much for all your help you are giving on this forum.
Your comments are extremely helpful and trusted!!!

I wanted to ask you some questions regarding my EE profile.
I started my job in Feb 2014, (Feb 27 to be exact), so my two year anniversary is very soon.
The thing is that my CRS was increased like a week days ago already counting my work experiences as 2 years.
If I get invitation before Feb 27, 2016, should I reject it??

No. But do not submit your post ITA application before Feb 27th.

Also, If I lose my job (I am just worried it would be possible because the company is downsizing now) before Feb 27, should I say I have only 1 year exp even though the system granted me 2 year exp?

If this does happen, update your profile with that information and the system should recalculate your score. If it doesn't do that, you should explain it in the LOE section of your post ITA application.

Any advice will be much appreciated.
Thank you Asivad!

If your bank statements show any suspiciously large credit transaction(s) within the last 6 months, you'll need to explain those.

No, it doesn't.
I worked for three years back home and I managed to save a lot as I was living with my parents. I brought my savings with me in 2012 (when I first entered Canada). So I had even more than required funds (12000$) for more than three years. There are some transactions within the last 6 month, but those transactions didn't affect the minimum required funding.
Does it make them suspicious that I have more money than required?! :'(

Dear Asivad,

once again your help needed.

When I submitted my eAPR the minimum required amount of money for one person was below 12000 CAD. My POF shows about 16000 CAD.

But in my application I answered the question "how much money will you bring to Canada?" 12000 CAD.

Now the minimum POF has changed and the website shows 12164 CAD.

Can it be a reason for rejection? I submitted POF which is much more but still I confirmed in my eAPR that I'm going to bring 12000 CAD.

Not at all. If you have the required money and you can conclusively prove that none of it was borrowed, no problem.

That change isn't retrospective so it won't impact your application.

Thanks.
In other words, if there are large transactions but they don't affect the minimum required fund, we don't need to explain. Right?

Thanks Asivad,

Do I need to declare this couple of hours of visit outside Heathrow in travel section?

For the sake of full disclosure, Yes. But it is an unimportant detail for sure.

If i use old one then should I write everything in LOE regarding my short visit and willingness to get a new one if required by CIC

or

should I go for a new certificate for myself and will use old for my spouse?

I would go with the former option. Honesty always helps with CIC.

Not exactly. If there are large transactions, they need to be satisfactorily explained with/without affecting minimum required funds. CIC is paranoid about the slightest hint of borrowed funds being used as POF.

Ok. Are you saying that if my savings increased from 16000 to 20000, I need to explain it?

Yes. If it is a periodic credit because of salary, nothing to explain. If it is an unexplained credit, CIC has all reasons to get suspicious about that. 4000 CAD is fairly significant if you're showing POF to the tune of about 20000 CAD.

Hi Asivad,

Thank you so much for your prompt response.
So if I stop working before Feb 27 and the CRS stays the same after updating it, I still can't claim for 2 years exp, correct???
I am just wondering if it is a must to pass the anniversary date.

Thank you again!!

Asivad, I only need to show 12000 as POF since it is just me in my application!
Why does CIC care for what is happening for amounts larger than 12000?!
