Hello Folks,
I applied as CEC inland, AOR 29 MAR 2019. Both my eligibility and criminality are passed since June and security is in process - VO CIO SYDNEY. Applied 2 times GCMS notes but haven't received any, 90+ days.
Talked with nice IRCC agent today and got to knew that file hasn't been touched since June, 2019. He sent a follow up for status updates with 30 days deadline to CIO Sydney to respond back.
Has any one experienced the same? I am curious to know that such follow up from agent to the VO does actually work or CIO keep working at their own pace by ignoring such follow ups from IRCC agents? I am atleast expecting that my file would be touched with this follow up. High hopes. Share your experiences please, its quite agonizing with no visibility, and I wish you all speedy PPRs.
Thanks!

Extremely frustrated with this wait. This visa office way too slow.
Does anyone know how VOs are assigned for particular application?

Good morning,

I can't believe it is my turn to say this PPR!!!!!

Here is my timeline:
  • AOR - Jan 20
  • Updated by webform three times: (1) address change, (2) work permit- i am inland but forgot to send the work permit, stupid me; (3) self declaration for visa refusal in USA
  • Medical Passed: Feb 28
  • RR on Proof of Fund
  • Called MP, ordered GMCS notes, Called centre many times, no one gave me the information/update on my application except the notes
  • PPR: Oct 3, 2019
  • Time of waiting: 8 months and 13 days
  • Did not submit any ADRs, RR got lifted

I can't express my feeling right now.

@All still waiting: hang on it, pray for your Gods, distract yourselves with work and stuffs, I did it and boom, it came today. Keep your positive energy, don't put your lives on hold for this, and be nice, be kind, be humble, good things will come with good deeds.

;)

Cheers and have a wonderful day, even it is so cloudy, windy and chilling in Toronto right now

Congrats. could you tell us when did you update your application for proof of funds? Id like to have some idea about how long would take from update to receive PPR

I just got PPR today, I got to know from an agent that my application was also at Sydney office. Since I knew that everything had passed (eligibility, medical, criminality and security) about 2 weeks ago, I decided to order a new set of GCMS/CBSA notes yesterday.. and today PPR! Now not sure it was a coincidence or not, but good to know they are working on our applications!

Rough timeline:

EE - FSW - Prepaid RPRF
4 February - AOR
10 April - BIL
10 June - Ordered GCMS/CBSA notes and got to know my wife was under Comprehensive SS (Iranian citizen)
20 September - Ghost Update signifying end of security (Great relief here, as I thought other folks on the forum were talking of 1+ year for this step)
3 October - Decided to order again GCMS/CBSA notes hoping this would force an offer to issue PPR since I knew everything was completed
4 October - Ready for Visa e-mail received!

Ready for Visa, Guys.

At long last! Received the email today morning. Once again, I would tell you patience is key. The ones who are waiting, just make sure by calling IRCC that there is nothing wrong with your application. Each time I called I requested the agent to check whether there is anything in my application that might be a matter of concern. The agent used to tell us the application looked just fine, and there was nothing to worry. This is very important. If everything is fine, at best you might be late to receive the PPR, but you can be certain that you would receive eventually.

However, I checked my IRCC profile. Despite receiving the 'ready for visa' email, nothing seemed to change there! Everything is still either reviewing or processing. Is this okay?

Thanks everyone. I wholeheartedly hope everyone's waiting comes to an end soon.

PPR for me too
Received 'Ready for Visa' email today early morning

Sent the passport in the evening.

This group made me feel that I am not alone and CIO is pretty slow office.

I wish everyone get it soon.

I also wonder if it would have really an impact, nonetheless not bothering much any more, patience is key here, eventually time passes and it will happen anyways as far as all well. They taking 8 months normally, so chill :)

Had you any Review Required (RR) ?

Had you any Review Required (RR) ?
Yes, RR for POF that I got to know through GCMS notes I got in June and again in September. Emailed Ralf on 9/17 and on 9/18 also got the same response that my eligibility requires review and security hasn't been started. So, really don't know how fast they did the remaining work.
